Charging Up the Battery

PLEASE NOTE!

  • Only connect the charger to a plug socket that is properly installed and matches the technical data of the charger. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
  • Pull the charger out of the plug socket if an error occurs during operation or before a thunderstorm.
  • It is essential that you charge up the battery fully before you first use the device in order to achieve the maximum charging capacity. If the battery is fully discharged during use, it must be fully charged up again before it is next used.

PLEASE NOTE: The battery needs approximately 8 hours to charge up on a first charge. The length of time required for subsequent recharging depends on the charging status of the battery in each case; if the battery is flat, it is approximately 5 hours.

  1. Insert the battery (2) into the charger (3) until you hear it engage. Make sure that the two arrows are pointing towards each other.
  2. Connect the charger to an easily accessible plug socket.
  3. Fully charge up the battery.
  4. Pull the charger out of the plug socket.
  5. Remove the battery from the charger by pressing together the two release buttons on the side of the battery and pulling out the battery at the same time.

Assembling the Device

  1. Plug the bottom shaft piece (8) onto the shaft piece of the cleaning foot (4). Make sure that the two arrows on the shaft pieces are pointing towards each other. When you push them together, press together the two locking lugs on the shaft piece of the cleaning foot. The locking lugs must then engage in the openings of the bottom shaft piece.
  2. Screw the middle shaft piece (11) onto the bottom shaft piece and the top shaft piece (12) onto the middle shaft piece.
  3. Insert the battery (2) into the battery compartment (6) on the bottom shaft piece. Make sure that the two arrows are pointing towards each other.

Use

PLEASE NOTE!

  • Ensure that there are no larger, sharp objects on the surface which is to be cleaned.
  • When you lift up the device, always keep the cleaning foot horizontal so that no dirt can fall out of the dirt container.
  • Switch the device off after each surface has been cleaned as this will considerably increase the operating time on each battery charge. Charge up the battery after use (see the “Charging Up the Battery” chapter).
  1. Move the On / Off switch (9) to the ON position to switch on the device. The brushes of the cleaning foot (4) start to rotate.
  2. Move the cleaning foot over the surface which is to be cleaned. The dirt is picked up by the rotating brushes and collected in the dirt container (5) on the bottom of the cleaning foot. If too much dirt blocks up the brushes, they may come to a standstill. In this case, move the On / Off switch to the OFF position, take the battery (2) out of the battery compartment (6) and clean the brushes (see the “Cleaning and Storage” chapter).
  3. Move the On / Off switch to the OFF position to switch off the device.
  4. Empty the dirt container after each use (see the “Cleaning and Storage” chapter – “Emptying the Dirt Container”).

Bending the Shaft The shaft can be bent up to an angle of 90° to make it easier to handle.

  1. Slide up the button on the side of the joint (10) and at the same time move the shaft towards the battery compart-ment (6). The angle is infinitely adjustable.
  2. Let go of the button to fix the shaft at the set angle.

Cleaning and Storage

PLEASE NOTE! Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. They could damage the surfaces.

  1. Make sure that the device is switched off.
  2. Remove the battery (2) by pressing together the two release buttons on the side of the battery and pulling out the battery at the same time.
  3. Empty the dirt container (5) (see the “Emptying the Dirt Container” section).
  4. Wipe down all parts of the device with a dry or damp, lint-free cloth.
  5. Remove dirt, hair and threads from the brushes in the cleaning foot (4) on a regular basis (see the “Cleaning Brushes” section).
  6. Store the device, the charger (3) and the battery in a dry, frost-free place which is not accessible to children and animals.
To make it easier to store, fold the side of the cleaning foot on which the magnet is located up towards the shaft.

Emptying the Dirt Container

  1. Hold the cleaning foot (4) over a dustbin.
  2. Open the dirt container (5) by pressing together the two catches next to the shaft. The flap of the dirt container will flip open immediately and the dirt will drop into the dustbin.
  3. Flip the dirt container shut. The catches must audibly engage.

Cleaning Brushes
As is the case with all cleaning equipment with rotating brushes, hair, threads and other small parts collect on the cleaning brushes over time. We recommend that the brushes are cleaned from time to time with the help of the cleaning tool (1) supplied.

  1. To make the brushes easier to access, remove the cover of the cleaning foot (4) by sliding the two catches on the cleaning foot towards one another and taking off the cover.
  2. Remove any dust and dirt from the brushes with the help of the cleaning tool.
  3. Place the cover on the cleaning foot and fix it in place with the catches by sliding them away from one another.

PLEASE NOTE: A small magnet is located on the bottom shaft piece (8) and the cover in each case. When you insert the cover, make sure that both magnets are pointing to-wards each other.
