Directory board easy setup guide

If you are setting the Catlog Board for the first time or are not comfortable with the Settings of the IT device, follow the steps in this guide.

The steps in the installation guide

Advance preparation

• To use the directory board, you must: Please prepare it on hand before proceeding.
• Smartphone (iOS or Android)
• Directory board
• Directory APP
• The name (SSID) and password of the home WLAN network
• Your home wireless LAN network name (SSID) and wireless LAN networkpassword are often recorded on the side or bottom of the wireless LAN router label.
• If you do not know the network name (SSID) or password, consult the manufacturer of your wireless LAN router.
• Adult cat lover (if possible. Have an important role in supporting the setting)

Directory APP

Please install more catlog APP in, App Store or Google play store.
If you already use Catlog Home and Pendant, you do not need to reinstall the APP. You can use the same APP.

Prompt before you start setting

• Configuring a directory board when implemented near a wireless LAN router may make it easier to connect.
• When using the catalog with family and other owners
• From a retrieval data management perspective, Catlog devices can only beassociated with one account at a time and cannot be registered with multiple accounts simultaneously.
• In addition, the owner cannot initialize the Catlog device himself.
• Therefore, it becomes a specification that once the device is registered, it cannot be removed by the owner or associated with the registered account. When the Settings of the registered device are implemented from a different account, the display “This device has been set to another user” is displayed. “Error message.
• In addition, since the structure of the equipment can only be managed from the account where it was originally set, in the case of using with other owners such as family members, please decide in advance who will manage the equipment and start setting the stomach. [Co-feeding main function] [owner add Settings] What is the function of the setting? Also refer to the next page.
• If you already use a directory
• The Catlog Board machine learns about weight and excretion habits, and classifies the acquired data as the data of each cat registered in the catlog APP.
• Therefore, in order to record the excretion information of cats that have used Catlog Pendant so far on the APP, the Board needs to be set up with the owner’s account.
• If the Board is set with the account of a co-owner who has not registered a cat so far, the data of the cat so far does not exist, so the data cannot be updated on the APP.
• For Settings for when you are already using Catlog, the [Directory Board] Quick Installation guide is introduced if you have used the directory home page/pendant page.
• Smart phone ready
• First confirm some Settings on the smartphone. The Settings required for iOS and Android are different. Please check what is appropriate for your smartphone.
• ※ If a special security-related APP is installed on the terminal or certain Settings are performed on the terminal, the Catlog Board may not be set properly. In case the following Settings are valid but cannot be set, please confirm the various security Settings, disable the Settings before implementing the Settings.
• ※ Catlog device is a device that can be set only through the catlog APP. Cannot connect to the device directly through the Bluetooth item in the smartphone terminal setting APP.
• In addition, while the device itself may be detected, an error will occur if you try to connect.

For iOS

1. Open the Bluetooth Settings of the terminal from the Settings APP.

2. Enable Bluetooth for catlog APP from the Settings APP.
   

※ Depending on the situation, Bluetooth items may not be displayed. At this point, please press [OK] in the pop-up menu that prompts you to use Bluetooth after the Home setting starts.

Android case

The Android setup method may vary from terminal to terminal.
If you do not know the setting method, please consult the manufacturer using the terminal.
This guide uses Pixel 4 (Android 10) as an example.

1. Open the terminal location information from the setting APP.
   Example: When using Pixel 4 and Android 10, select “Use location Information” from the “location information” item of the APP.

2. Set the location information that allows the use of the catlog APP from the APP.
   Example: Under Pixel 4 and Android 10, select [Catlog] under [Show All Apps] from [APP and Notifications] and click on [Permissions] to display [Location information], from which you can select “Always Allow”.

3. Open the Bluetooth Settings of the terminal from the Settings APP.
   Example: For Pixel 4 and Android 10, select [Connected Settings] from[Connected Devices] in the Settings APP, click [Bluetooth], and confirm that it is recorded as [ON]. If “OFF” is recorded, click the object position once to change to “ON”.
   On many Android devices, you can also turn Bluetooth on and off using the
   Quick Settings Panel. You can use this.

• Once you’ve set up your smartphone, create a Catlog account! Also, the directory APP account is the same as the directory official store account.
• If you have previously created an account on the Catlog Official Store or catlog APP, please log in again using the Login button.

General flow

1. Open the directory APP
2. [2] New registration of directory id Press [] button
3. Enter items
4. Read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy and press the Agree and Start buttons
5. As a temporary registration email will be sent, confirm the email and complete the registration

※ The “New Registration for directory id” button is available only when you create an account for the first time.
※ Make sure you have entered the correct email address

Detailed procedure

Open the catlog APP, click [New Registration of directory id] button and press [].

Enter and then press the “Agree to Terms of Use and Start” button. Press this button to create an account. After the account is created, an email titled “Catlog [Please confirm Temporary
Registration] email address” will be sent to your registered email address. Please also confirm.

This is the account that will continue to be used in the future for using Catlog.

• If the terminal changes due to the change of the model, or the APP is uninstalled incorrectly, the account used in Catlog and the registration status of the device will not be automatically deleted.
• In this case, log back in using the Catlog account registered above.
• The directory board is set one platform at a time.
• If there are more than two boards, the first Board is set first, and the next Board is set separately.
  General flow

1. Select Catlog Board from the software component to be configured.
2. Install batteries on the Board and set them according to the steps shown on the screen
3. Registration of Each Cat [Mr. Cat Membership]

Detailed procedure

Press the “Start after agreeing to the Terms of Use” button. After the account is created, the screen of selecting the device to be set will be displayed.Select Directory Board.

OS may display a pop-up that prompts you to use Bluetooth, and Android may display a pop-up that asks for location information. Please press [OK] or [Always Allow].

※ In the case of Android, it may not be set at the beginning, but will be displayed after about 2 steps forward. Please choose “Always Allow” or “APP only allowed” at the time of pop-up.

Be careful

Even if the smartphone Settings are confirmed in advance, the Settings may change if you select [not allowed] here.
Board Settings may fail, so be sure to select OK or Always Allow or APP Only

Press [OK] or [Always Allow] to display the following screen.
To set this up, first place three batteries on the back of the Board where the left and right batteries should be placed.

After loading the battery, set the Board facing up and long press the button on the side.
When the LED is green and the light is off, it is a signal of power supply.
After the power is connected, press the “LED emit green light” button.
※ When the power is switched on, the LED appears green and then turns off. The light off does not mean the power is off.

Press the “Green LED light” button to display the screen of “Setting Catlog Board”.
Please long press the side button at this time until the LED flashes blue. (About 5 seconds, the LED will flash blue. After flashing, immediately out.)
After the LED blinks blue, press the “LED blinks blue” button.

※ If the LED flashes blue before this screen is displayed, there is no need to press the button again.

Press the [LED flashing blue] button to start searching for the Board.
The Board is automatically detected by the APP. Please wait until the individual identification number of [Board XXXXXXXX] is displayed. (The part of [XXXXXXX] is a combination of 8 digits and letters, different for each Board)
Click the individual identification number of [Board XXXXXXXX] when it is displayed.
※ The Bluetooth item of APP cannot be directly connected to the Catlog Board from the smartphone terminal.
※ If no Board is detected after a period of time,

Smart phone location information and Bluetooth Settings

Whether the security APP is closed
Whether the indicator is blinking blue
After confirmation, please try the setting again from the beginning. If it does not improve, please consult the Catlog CS Team.

Clicking on the individual identification number displays a list of wireless LAN network names (SSIDs).
Please find the prepared SSID of your home Wireless LAN Network from the list.
The display of the list of wireless LAN network names updates gradually. If the name of your wireless LAN is not immediately displayed, please wait and browse the list.

If you find the name of your home WLAN network, click it.

Clicking on the name of your home wireless LAN network will display a screen for entering your password.
Enter the password of your own wireless LAN network prepared in advance and click the “Connect to this wireless LAN” button after confirming it.
(At this point, note that you misread similar words, such as the number “0” and the uppercase “o” or the number “1” and the lowercase “l.”) Connecting to a wireless LAN can take a long time.
If you still cannot connect after a period of time or an error occurs, please cancel temporarily. [Please refer to [] if you cannot connect to your wireless LAN.

After the Board successfully connects to the WLAN router, the screen will switch automatically.
After the screen of “connecting Catlog Board to the Internet” is displayed, long press the button on the side of the Board again until the LED lights up green and then turns off.
After the LED lights up green and turns off, press the “LED lights up green” button at the bottom of the screen.

Pressing the “LED Glow green” button will display the screen of selecting the toilet to be placed on the Catlog Board.
Press the “Select toilet” button, and the adult cat will choose the toilet you use. If you do not know the type of toilet, please press the “Do not know the type of toilet” button.
※ Whether there is a toilet type or not, the toilet type selected on the APP will not affect the decision accuracy.

Name it according to the preference of the Catlog Board used by both the adult cat and the owner. If you have multiple boards, name the room where the Board will be installed to make it easier to manage.
After the name of the Board is decided, press the “OK” button.

The “Install the Catlog Board under the usual toilet” screen is displayed.
After setting the toilets available on the set Board, the Board setting is complete!
The Board can be set in any direction it likes, but since there is a good time to press the button and check the LED light status during firmware updates, it is recommended that the button and LED be set in directions that are easily visible.
