Controls

Long press to set the function
Press and hold Button 1 for 5 seconds. When the indicator light keeps flashing, it means that the device has entered the Bluetooth Broadcast Mode. Please follow the in-app instructions to complete pairing.

Note: The broadcast will last for 30 seconds and then stop Or you can choose to exit the Bluetooth Broadcast Mode by clicking Button1.

Functions

Single-click to Trigger Signals
After completing pairing and function settings, click Button 1 or Button 2. When the indicator light flashes red once, it means the signal is already sent, and your instruction is triggered. You can follow the in-app instructions to complete the function settings.

Note: Please do not press the same button in a quick manner. There should be a 1.5-second gap between two successive clicks of the same button.

Getting Started

  1. Open the packaging. Open the bottom cover from the open slot as shown in the picture. Pull out the insulation sheet and tighten the bottom cover up

  2. Press and hold Button 1 for 5 seconds to enter the pairing mode. Please follow the in-app instructions to complete pairing.

  4. Effective Communication Distance Verification: After completing the pairing, you can verify it in the app.

Note:

  1. In order to fix the product on the surface, it is recommended to tear off the included adhesive tape to stick it to the bottom of the base, then tear off the liner and fix the product to the surface.
  2. Please ensure the surface is clean and dry.
  3. For indoor use only.
  4. Low electricity might occur due to low voltage when the button cell is in a low-temperature environment (below 0°C), which might affect the battery life.

Downloading Govee Home App
To download Govee Home App, scan the QR code or search for “Govee” in the Apple App Store® (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

Note: Choose “Allow” to the permissions requested when opening Govee Home App for the first time. These permissions allow the app’s features to function normally and are not used to record personal, private information. Due to ongoing updates, Govee Home App may be slightly different than shown in this manual. In case of any differences, always follow the in-app instructions.

Pairing with Govee Home App

  • Turn on your smartphone’s Bluetooth.
  • Open Govee Home App, tap the “+” icon in the top right corner and search for “H5126.”
  • Tap the device icon and follow the on-screen instructions to complete pairing.

Note:  Govee Home App is being continually updated and its features do expand

Troubleshooting

The troubleshooting section below is for solving frequently asked questions. If your problem persists, please contact customer support.

For App & Connectivity

  1. Cannot connect to Govee Home App.

  2. Make sure your smartphone is powered on and is not connected with other Bluetooth devices.

  3. Enable the smartphone’s Location Services.

  4. Try connecting with another smartphone.

  5. Make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

  6. Make sure you connect to your Wi-Fi router’s 2.4GHz network and that the network is working correctly.

  7. Make sure the Wi-Fi password you entered is correct.

  8. Shorten the distance between the switch, distributed gateway, and the smartphone.

  9. Make sure your switch and the distributed gateway are located away from appliances that produce electromagnetic radiation (e.g. microwave ovens, refrigerators, etc.)

  10. If you are using a VPN, try turning it off and then connecting the
    switch.

  11. Disable portal authentication for your Wi-Fi network. If portal authentication is enabled, this switch will not be able to access your Wi-Fi network, and setup will fail, Portal authentication means that you need to sign in to your Wi-Fi network through a web page before you can use the Internet.

  12. Cannot find the device on Bluetooth Device Nearby page of the app.

  13. The switch may be connected with another smartphone.
    Disconnect it from the other smartphone first.

  14. The switch is offline.

    • Make sure that the switch has sufficient battery power and that the distance between the distributed gateway and the switch is within 55 meters/180 feet.
    • Make sure your router is connected to the internet, and your smartphone’s network connection is working.
    • If the Wi-Fi password has been changed, the switch and distributed gateway will automatically go offline. Try to connect them to the network again.
    • Delete the offline switch from Govee Home App, then add and reconfigure the switch again in the app.
