Definitions used

DIL switches
Switches on the control circuit board for setting the control.

Closed end-of-travel position
In this door position door locking ETV1-HCP automatically releases or locks. Locking element ETV1 is locked manually via an external control unit.

Door system
A door with the associated operator and control.

Safety instructions

 ATTENTION:

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
FOR THE SAFETY OF PERSONS, IT IS IMPORTANT TO COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS. THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE KEPT. For undated references to standards, directives etc. referred to here, the latest version of the publication applies, including any amendments.

Intended use
The electromechanical door locking is intended for locking sectional and roller garage doors. You may use the electromechanical door locking for both private and commercial applications. Note the manufacturer’s specifications regarding the door and operator combination. EN 13241 specifies the application for installation, fitting and use.

Non-intended use
Not permitted for use on enclosure doors.

Installation

Electrical installation
This section describes the fitting and connection of further add-on parts. For the electrical installation of circuits with dangerous voltages, observe the control instructions.

ATTENTION

Locked bolt
There is a danger of injury and damage in the door’s area of travel due to the extended bolt of an unregistered locking element.

  • A BUS scan must be performed before the first door run of the HCP variant.
  • The static current circuit must be connected to the operator before the first door run of the ETV variant.

Automation of the ETV1 requires the end-of-travel positions to be captured. The multi-function circuit board or travel limit circuit board, for example, can be used for this purpose.

Activate the start warning (5 s)

  • Set the correct settings in the menus for controls A /B 4XX(R) and 360: Menu 09 parameter 05, menu 18 parameter 06 and menu 19 parameter 02

NOTE
The automatic timer is not possible when the start warning is activated.

Functioning

The locking element functions (ETV1)/ address (ETV1-HCP) can be set via DIL switches. Before initial start-up, all DIL switches are set to OFF (factory setting). Changes to the DIL switch settings are only permissible under the following conditions:

  • ETV1: The locking element is at rest
  • ETV1-HCP: The user performs a BUS scan after adjusting

DIL switch ETV1-HCP
In case of multiple locking elements with HCP, the number of DIL switches has to be set.
