PROFI COOK PC-KW 1263 Kitchen Scales

The PC-KW1263_IM is a kitchen scale designed to measure the weight of food and ingredients. Product Usage Instructions

Switching On

1. Place the kitchen scale on a flat, smooth surface.
2. Turn the control until the battery symbol displays fully charged (approximately 2 turns). All segments will briefly appear in the display.

Select Unit of Measurement
This kitchen scale can measure in both mass units (grams, ounces, pounds and ounces) and volume units (milliliters). To choose the desired unit of measurement:

• MILK: Press this button to measure milk.
• WATER: Press this button to measure water.

Weighing Food or Ingredients

1. Place the item to be weighed on the scale’s platform.
2. Wait for the display to stabilize. The measurement will be shown on the display.
3. Read the measured weight from the display.

Tare Function
The TARE function allows you to weigh multiple ingredients without including the weight of the container. To use the TARE function:

1. Place an empty container on the scale’s platform.
2. Press the TARE button. The display will reset to zero.
3. Add the desired ingredient to the container. The display will show only the weight of the ingredient, excluding the weight of the container.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean the kitchen scale with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water. Store the scale in a clean and dry place when not in use. Please refer to the complete user manual for more detailed instructions and safety information.

Unpacking the Appliance

1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.
2. Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
3. Check the appliance for possible transport damage to avoid hazards. Do not operate a damaged appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.

Indications in the Display

Using the Appliance

Switching On

1. Place the kitchen scale on a flat, smooth surface.

Select Unit of Measurement
This kitchen scale measures in both mass units (g / oz / lb:oz) and volume units (ml).
Milk and water have different weights if they have the same number of millilitres. Therefore, you can display milk and water separately on this scale.
MILK = Milk, WATER = Water

• Select the desired unit of measurement with the UNIT button on the bottom of the appliance.
• The appliance starts in the last unit of measurement selected.
• To select the appropriate unit of measurement, also refer to the table above “ Indications in the Display ”.

Weighing

1. Maintain until the kitchen scale is at “ ”.
2. Place the goods in the middle of the scale plate if possible.
3. If the display stops, the measurement is complete.
4. Now read off the measured value.

Tare Weight Function
You want to add another ingredient to your first ingredient and weigh it out?

1. Press the TARE lettering.
2. “ TARE ” appears in the display. The kitchen scale is reset to “ ”.
3. If you now add more ingredients, their weight will be displayed.

Switching Off

When the symbol flashes, the appliance switches off automatically after about 30 seconds.

Cleaning

CAUTION:

• Do not immerse the appliance in water! This could destroy the electronics.
• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
• Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Clean the appliance with a slightly damp, not wet, cloth. Make sure that no moisture or liquid enters the appliance!
• You can use a commercially available washing-up liquid or a simple soap as an additive.
• After cleaning, dry the appliance well with a dry, soft cloth.

Storage

Store the appliance in a clean, dry place.
