FAQ
What do I do if the delivery is missing some parts?
Only begin assembling the product when a replacement part has been delivered. If the scope of delivery is missing some parts or contains damaged parts, then you will receive a replacement free of charge. Send us your purchase receipt and article number via email. Should parts be lost or damaged by improper use, then they can be purchased through our spare part and accessory range. Contact us!
The retractable screen is stuck or can no longer be opened or closed?
- Retractable screen and guide rails must be constructed in a right angle to one another. - Strings must be evenly tensioned above and below. - It is possible that a string has been caught when attaching the end caps.
What should I be aware of when cutting?
Shorten the aluminium sections with a metal saw. A mitre box will ensure an exact cut. If necessary, attach the parts which are to be shortened via a screw clamp in the mitre box, without squashing it.

OVERVIEW
Measure width B by determining the horizontal wall to clearance
distance. Measure height measurement H of the jamb by determining the vertical
wall to wall distance.
Please note: You will need a jamb depth of min. 30 mm and a contact
surface of 35 mm on each side to install the insect screen.
NB: Please be aware that measurements are in millimetres. 1 cm = 10
mmShorten the pleated cassette 1 together with
the guide rail 1a on both sides with a metal saw according to the following
formula: (2202 mm – H)/2. Deduct the height measurement H from the total
length of the pleated door (2202 mm) and divide the result by 2. Mark this
measurement on both sides and shorten the cassette accordingly. Note the
position of the cassette. Example: Measured height of the jamb H = 2000 mm >>>
(2202 mm – 2000 mm)/2 = 101 mm Please note: Risk of injury! Take care when
using the saw. Use a file to deburr the raw edges.Shorten the two guide rails 2 with a metal saw to the length of
measurement B minus 2 mm. Example: Measured width of the jamb B = 900 mm – 2
mm = 898 mm
Please note: Risk of injury! Take care when using the saw. Use a file to
deburr the raw edges. ![WiNDHAGER Insect Screen Pleated Door logo

Guide the strings on both sides along the profile groove to the end of the handle rail 1a and insert them there. Connect the corner connectors 3 and 4 to the cassette 1. Insert the string guides 4a into the side of the handle rail 1a. Place the guide rollers 5 into the recesses provided on both sides of the string guides 4a. The string will now run through the guide rollers 5.
Connect the guide rails 2 to the corner connectors 3 and 4 on the pleated cassette 1. Connect the corner connectors 6 and 7 to the guide rails 2. Connect the corner connectors 6 and 7 to the guide rails and gently pull the string through the corner connectors. Clip in the corner connectors 6 and 7 using threaded pins 8. Use the hexagon socket to do so 8a. Tension the string on the pleated cassette through the connectors 6 and 7 and turn the threaded pin 9 using the hexagon socket 8a to attach the string. Do not over tighten the threaded pins 9. Close the fabric using the handle rails 1a so that the tabs on the string guides 4 are positioned in the corner connectors 6 and 7. Turn the screw 13 in the recesses in the corner connectors 6 and 7 so that the tabs are fixed in the string guides 4 for assembly. These screws are removed when assembly is complete and are intended to make installation easier. Position the loop tapes 11 on the back of the pleated frame. Position the Velcro tapes 12 on top and remove the protective cover on the Velcro tape 12 just before installation. The pleated door is ready to be installed. Remove the protective covers on the Velcro tapes 12 and attach them to the pleated door on the side of the cassette that is flush with the jamb. Then remove the two screws 13 and position the covers 9a and 9b on the corner connectors 6 and 7. OPTIONAL M2: if using a screw mounting system, use a drill bit (ø 2.5 mm) to drill through the recesses in the four corner connectors in the door frame and screw the folded door in place with screws 10.
