Installing Side Brushes

Insert the side brush into the groove

  • Align the centre spoke of the brush with the brush motor on the bottom of the robot.

Lock the side brush into place

  • Using a coin-like object, turn the brush clockwise until it clicks into place.

Powering On for the First Time

Plug the adapter into the dock

  • Plug the power adapter into the power jack in the back of the charging dock.

Remove adhesive on the dock

  • Remove the clear adhesive film from the round pads on the base of the dock in order to ensure maximum contact.

NOTE
The adhesive stickers are NOT permanent and can be reused after cleaning with a moist towel.

Setup dock along the wall

  • Place the dock against a wall, with no obstacles within 2 feet (60cm) on either side of the dock.

Flip the power switch on

  • Flip the power switch to the ON position ( – ).
    NOTE

  • If the power switch is not on, your robot will not operate properly.

Fully charge robot

  • Charge the robot until the red charging indicator light disappears. A full charge takes approximately 4.5 hours.

Press Power Button

  • Press the power button to start cleaning.

Double Cleaning

Press the Double Clean Button

  • This initiates the double cleaning feature.

Robot cleans home

  • Your robot goes out and begins cleaning your home until it reaches a low battery.

Robot auto charges

  • When your robot is running low on battery, it automatically returns to the charging dock.

Robot cleans home again

  • Once fully charged, your robot goes and begins cleaning your home once again.

Robot auto-charges again

  • Finally, after cleaning your home a second time, your robot will dock itself.

Setting the Clock

Enter clock mode

  • Press the “CLOCK” button to enter clock mode. The flashing digits mean that the time is now adjustable. Notice that the “PM” indicator will be lit when the time is set for the afternoon.

Adjust clock time

  • Press the “ADJUST” button to change the time for the flashing digits.

Change selection

  • Press the “CLOCK” button to move on to the next selection. This changes the flashing digits (hr/min).

Repeat and finish

  • Repeat steps 1-3 and complete the clock setting.
  • When the digits have stopped flashing, you will have set the clock.

Setting the Daily Schedule

Set clock time
See the previous section titled “Setting the Clock”.
NOTE
If you do not set the time on the clock, your schedule will not function properly.

  • Press the “SCHEDULE” button to enter schedule mode. The flashing digits mean that the time is now adjustable.

Set schedule time

  • The process for setting the schedule is the same as setting the clock.
  • See the previous section titled “Setting the Clock”. Be sure to press the “SCHEDULE” button instead of the “CLOCK” button.

To cancel scheduling

  • Press the “SCHEDULE” button and adjust the time until the screen displays: ” –: –“.
  • Press the “SCHEDULE” button again, and the schedule indicator will turn off.

Mopping

Secure sweeping cloth
Wrap a disposable dry or wet sweeping cloth evenly across the mop pad and secure it by pushing the edges of the sheet into the gripping slots.

Attach mop pad

  • Insert the mop pad as indicated to the bottom of the robot vacuum.

Do not use a mop pad on the carpet

  • The mop pad is designed for use on hard floors only.
    NOTE

  • Using the mop pad on the carpet may cause damage to your robot vacuum.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Cleaning the Dustbin

Open dustbin cover

  • Press the Bin Release Button ( ) and lift the top cover.

Empty dustbin

  • Remove the dustbin and empty its contents into a trash bin.

Clean dustbin

  • Wash the dustbin with cold running water and let it dry completely.

Do not wash the filter

  • The included 3M filter CAN NOT be washed with water. If you need to order a replacement, please visit our website.

Cleaning Brushes & Hairs

Open vacuum mouth

  • To open the vacuum mouth, push the top bar forward and pull upwards.

Remove roller brush

  • After removing the vacuum mouth, unlock the brush by pushing it in slightly and then lifting it up.
  • Be sure to detangle any hairs stuck on the roller brush.

Change side brushes

  • Remove side brushes by using a coin-like object and turning them counter clockwise.
  • Be sure to detangle any hairs stuck on the side brushes.

Clean brushes

  • After detangling any hairs stuck on the brushes, rinse the brushes under water to clean off any dust or dirt. Allow them to dry for 24 hours.

Clean wheels Be sure to detangle any hairs stuck in the wheels.
NOTE
The wheels are designed to turn in the forward-facing direction. Forcing them to turn another way may cause damage to the wheels.

Do not use excessive force
These parts are designed to be cleaned with ease.
NOTE
If you feel like you are using excessive force when cleaning these parts, you may cause damage to the robot.

Long Periods of Inactivity

Flip the power switch off
If you plan on not using the robot for long periods of time (going on vacation, storage, etc.), flip the power switch to the OFF position ( 0 ).
NOTE
Not doing so may cause damage to your battery.

NOTE
In order for your robot to charge and operate properly, the power switch will need to be in the “ON” position.
When the power switch is in the “OFF” position, all flow of electricity is suspended.
This should only be used in the case of long periods of inactivity.

  7. Please use the included adapter. Using any other adapters may result in product damage, electric shock or fire. Do not use a damaged power cable, otherwise electric shock or fire may occur.
  8. Before using the robot, clean up any items on the floor, such as clothes, toys, papers, curtain cords, power cables or fragile items, and make sure the furniture items are orderly arranged. This ensures an obstacle-free path for the robot and improves its cleaning efficiency.
  9. Flip the power switch to the OFF position ( 0 ) when not in use for long periods of time.
  10. Please check the local battery recycling policies and dispose of it accordingly.

Warranty Information

Limited Year Warranty
Techko Kobot warrants this product for a period of one year from the date of purchase against original defects in materials or workmanship. Techko Kobot will replace (Techko Kobot’s opinion) with the same or equivalent product, Techko Kobot is not responsible for returned items’ postage. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse or failure to follow instructions contained in your user’s manual. No refunds. Exchanges only.
Warranty Voids

  1. Using the product in any way other than specified in the user’s manual will void the warranty.
  2. Opening or tampering with the product’s housing will void the warranty.
  3. Modifying the product or housing will void the warranty.
