FITTING GUIDE
Your Darche Kozi Series Awning has been designed for a universal fit with most
makes and models of four wheel drives, SUV and station wagons, utes and vans.
Your awning can either be mounted directly to a roof rack, roof cross bars.
When mounting the awning ensure it is positioned to allow sufficient clearance
for the vehicles doors to open.
When fitting L-bracket to roof rack, or roof cross bars, please refer to your
roof rack manual or licensed 4WD accessory fitter for assistance.
When mounting to roof racks or cross bars etc, ensure the unsecured length at
each end of the awning does not exceed 600mm.
Mounting the L-brackets at lengths greater than 600mm from end of awning may
cause excessive vibration through the awning and result in potential failure
of fittings.
Tip: We recommend that you go for a short drive after attaching the awning to
your vehicle. Check to see if any further tightening of brackets is necessary.
AWNING SET UP
We recommend a 2 person set up for this awning.
Step 1 Unzip the transit cover and while holding the awning,
release the hook and loop straps.
Step 2 Unroll the awning to its full length.
Step 3 Gently swing out both rafter arms from the awning’s
backing, slightly past 90° away from vehicle.
Step 4 Twist to unlock and lengthen each rafter pole, do not
tighten at this stage.
Step 5
Carefully release the leg poles from within the channel. Set each leg to the
desired height then twist the leg lock to tighten.
Step 6
Whilst holding the awning end beam with one arm, slide each rafter arm,
aligning the end pin into the end beam holes and then twist each rafter arm
lock pole to lock in position.
Step 7
Fix
the awning canvas to the rafter arms using the hook and loop straps.
Step 8
Using the pegs and guy ropes secure the awning front beam diagonally outwards
to secure the legs.
Step 9
Always set the awning up with sufficient angle to allow water to run off and
not pool on top of the awning.
This can be achieved by lowering the height of one or both of the awnings legs
