Safety instructions

2.1 General safety

WARNING!

  • Connect the device to the 100 – 240V AC mains using only the mains adapter provided.

  • Never pull the mains adapter out of the socket by the cable.

  • If the mains adapter is damaged, replace it with an adapter of the same type and specifications.

  • Electronic devices are not toys. Always keep and use the device well out of the reach of children.

  • Do not operate the appliance if it is visibly damaged.

  • This appliance may only be repaired by qualified pers onnel. Inadequate repairs can lead to considerable hazards.

  • Disconnect the connection cable:
    – Before cleaning and maintenance
    –After use

  • Ensure that the ventilation slots are not covered.

  • Check that the voltage specification on the type plate is the same as that of the power supply.

  • Caution – danger of overheating
    Always make sure there is sufficient ventilation so that heat generated during normal operation can dissipate. Make sure that the device is sufficiently far away from walls and other objects so that the air can circulate.

  • People (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental capacities or whose lack of experience or knowledge prevent them from using this product safely should not use it without the supervision or instruction of a responsible person.

2.2 Operating the appliance safely
WARNING!

  • Before starting the appliance, ensure that the power supply line and the plug are dry.
  • Never start the device when your hands are wet.
  • Only operate the device when you can attend to it.
  • Do not operate the device on hot surfaces.
  • Never place the device near naked flames.
  • Do not fill the liquid which you wish to cool directly into the device. Instead, use the glass included in the scope of supply.
  • Never immerse the device in water.
  • Protect the device and the cable against heat and moisture.

Intended use

The appliance is designed to supply cold milk to espresso and coffee makers. The milk is cooled in the glass supplied and supplied through the tube in the cover to a coffee maker.

Technical description

The appliance is a compact tabletop device. It can keep milk cool at a temperature of +1 °C to +7 °C (depending on the ambient temperature).

Its cooling system is a non-wearing Peltier cooling system with the heat discharged by a fan

Operation

NOTICE!

  • When using the milk cooler, also see the instructions in the customer documentation of your coffee maker.
  • Only use the milk glass supplied for cooling milk. Replacement glasses can be ordered stating reference number T0 63 (MF-05M) or T0 82 (MF-1M).

NOTE

  • Before starting your new device for the first time, you should clean it inside and outside with a damp cloth for hygienic reasons (please also refer to the chapter “Cleaning and maintenance” on page 6).
  • If the device malfunctions  (e.g. due to electrostatic discharge) you only need to press a function button for the device to function normally again.

6.1 Cooling milk

  • Fill the glass with milk and screw the lid with the milk tube onto the glass.

  • Place the milk glass in the cooler.

  • Connect the milk tube on the cooler to the supply line of your coffee maker.

  • Connect the appliance via the mains adapter to a power source and press the “ON/OFF” button (fig. Al, page 3).
    The status indicator (fig. 2 A2, page 3) lights up and the device starts cooling.

  • To end cooling. press the -ON/OFF- button (fig. 2 Al, page 3).

  • To switch off the device, pull out the connecting cable.

Cleaning and maintenance

NOTICE!

  • Before cleaning the device, pull the cable out of the socket.
  • Also see the cleaning instructions in the customer documentation of your coffee maker.
  • Never clean the device under running water or in dish water.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or hard objects during cleaning as these can damage the device.

NOTE
The milk glass (without the lid) is suitable for dishwashers.

  • Clean the inside of the device with a damp cloth now and again.
  • Wipe the outside with a damp cloth.
  • Clean the lid and the milk tube occasionally with a standard cappuccino cleaner.

Guarantee

The statutory warranty period applies. If the product is defective, please contact the manufacturer’s branch in your country (see back page) or your retailer.
For repair and warranty processing, please include the following documents when you send in the device:

  • A copy of the receipt with purchasing date
  • A reason for the claim or description of the fault

Disposal

Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins wherever possible.
If you wish to finally dispose of the product, ask your local recycling centre or specialist dealer for details about how to do this in accordance with the applicable disposal regulations.
