Warnings Notes And Safety Regulations

  • Warnings: Keep out of the reach of children.
  • Keep battery away from fire. Avoid causing sparks and short-circuits. Do not smoke while near battery
  • Warning: Use eye protection when working on the battery. Do not place batteries in direct sunlight without protection. Discharged batteries can freeze up, store in an area free from frost. Do not pry open sealed cover plate under any circumstance. Never block the vent opening.

First Aid

  • If acid fumes are inhaled: seek fresh aid . In case of irregular breathing or respiratory arrest, seek med ical advice immediately and administer first aid. In case of respiratory irritation:
    • consult a physician.
  • If acid splashes in the eye: remove contact lenses if applicable . Immediately rinse with clean water for at least 15 minutes. Then consult a physician.
  • If acid splashes on the skin or in the hair: immediately remove any contaminated clothing. Rinse skin or hair with water or in the shower.
  • If acid splashed on clothing: absorb spillage to prevent material damage. Immediately neutralize with baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) or soapy water and rinse thoroughly with water.
  • If acid is swallowed: immediately rinse mouth and drink plenty of water. DO NOT induce vomiting. If you feel unwell, call a POISON CENTER or a physician.

MIGHTY-MAX-BATTERY-ML35-12-12V-35AH-INT-Battery-07Disposal:
Hand in old batteries at collection point. Never dispose of old batteries as domestic waste.

Battery Inspection

Thank you for choosing Mighty Max as your trusted battery supplier. Please read instructions carefully prior to use.

  • Inspect battery fully before installation. If outside casing is cracked, terminals damaged or battery leaking, do not use and contact distributor.
  • This battery is a charged sealed battery with a venting valves. It is factory activated and maintenance-free. It requires no checking of electrolyte level or adding of water.
  • This battery is low self-discharge with long shelf life.

General Instructions

Checking the battery:

  • Use a voltmeter or multimeter to measure voltage.
  • If a voltage of more than 12 volt is shown, the battery can be used immediately.
  • If the battery voltage is lower, the battery needs to be charged. Never use batteries of different models, types, performances, capacities, sizes, or production dates in a group together.
  • Do not mix batteries from different manufacturers also.

Installation

  • Install the batteries at lowest position possible in a well-ventilated room. To ensure good ventilation and heat dissipation, the batteries per row should be kept at around 0. 79″ (20mm) interlock spacing. The position should be away from heat sources, (e.g., transformer) and avoid installation in a closed compartment or near sparks. (e.g., near a switch or fuse), to prevent the possible ignition of hydrogen. Clean or polish the terminals before connection of batteries. Be careful to prevent the short circuit of battery positive and negative terminals by metal items. Please screw all the nuts, bolts, washes, and the connecting wires tightly when installing the battery. Loose connection may cause electric arcing or burning of the terminal.
  • Please use the insulated tools when installing the battery. When connecting the battery to a charger or a load, keep the circuit switch OFF and connect the battery’s positive(+) terminal to the positive(+) pole of the charger or the load and the battery’s negative(-) terminal to the negative(-) pole of the charger or the load. Otherwise, damage of battery, charger (or equipment) or injury of body may occur.
  • Do not mix batteries from different types, production dates, manufacturers, sizes, or different models in a group.
  • When multi-strings of batteries are to be parallel connected, connect batteries in series’ first & then complete the parallel connection. Parallel cables to the chargenoad should be as close in size and length from each of the parallel strings to prevent uneven voltage drops that can imbalance the parallel battery strings.
  • After batteries are installed, test the voltage of the battery string. Make sure there are no battery modules that have been incorrectly installed in reverse polarity. If all modules installed correctly, link battery to load. Use correct torque on all terminals, ensuring every connecting nut and screw is secure

For GEL Powersport batteries:
Adding electrolyte is optional. To do so, the battery’s lid cover must be opened, and safety valve removed. Electrolyte filling should only be done by a professional. Do not open and fill the battery yourself. It is not necessary to add electrolyte to use the battery. The battery comes ready for use. Kindly note that any modifications to battery, including adding electrolyte, voids warranty

Note:

  • All cell/bloc voltages of a battery group may have some voltage difference during initial use. Within half year later they should all become matched.
  • Effect from too high voltage for long time (overcharge): battery life shortened.
  • Effect from too low voltage for long lime (not charged enough): Cannot meet load and/or makes battery voltage inconsistent. The battery group capacity will drop and battery life will be shortened accordingly.

Storage & Maintenance

  • Keep batteries and battery room clean, well-ventilated, and dry. Protect the battery from direct sunlight.
  • During the delivery and storage, the battery will lose part of the capacity due to self-discharge, so please supplement charge before use; if storage occurs before installation / connection, supplement charge regularly; Avoid inducing static electricity during clean of batteries.
  • Use damp cloth for cleaning, never use organic solvents (e.g., gasoline or thinner). Otherwise, the container or cover may develop cracks.

Transportation :

  • Always transport a battery in an upright position and secure against tipping over
  • When transporting the battery, never vibrate or impact it excessively
  • When transporting a battery connected to equipment, secure it firmly and keep the circuit open
  • Return old battery to a recycling center, never dispose old battery as domestic waste
  • Choose adequate means for shipment, delivery and handling of battery as appropriate to weight. Don1 roll and throw battery. Avoid placing upside down.
  • Be careful not to damage the terminals and valve plugs

CAUTIONS

  • Keep batteries out of reach of children
  • Do NOT use batteries for application other than those specified in its specification
  • Do NOT attempt to dis-assemble revised, damaged, impacted, disposed batteries, otherwise the battery would leak, get hot, or explode.
  • Do NOT dispose of the batteries in water, fire, and do not heat the batteries.
  • Do NOT cause any short circuit If the voltage of battery pack is above 45V, please be sure to wear insulated gloves when working; otherwise, there is a risk of severe electrical shock.
  • Do NOT bring face close to the top of batteries. Please keep a sensible distance when you near battery. Please wear safety goggles.
  • There is sulfuric acid in the battery, do not allow contact of sulfuric acid with skin, cloths, especially eyes. If eyes come in contact with sulfuric acid, please wash with a lot of clean water, and consult a physician immediately.
