For a better experience of the installation process, it is suggested to seek a qualified technician if you do not have experience, proper tools, or an OE service manual.
-
Inspect the APB booster for any sign of crack on the plastic ring. (PIC 1, Red circle) The product was shipped out in perfect condition, it’s important to check if there is any damage while receiving the product. If you found out anything wrong after
unboxing, please contact APB immediately. (Email: info@apbbrake.com) -
Disconnect the brake vacuum by removing the hose from the factory booster. (PIC 2, Yellow circle) You may step the brake pedal multi times to ensure the vacuum is disconnected.
-
Once the vacuum is disconnected, remove the factory booster. Please be careful when removing the factory booster from the master cylinder. If the factory booster is vacuumed, will damage the master cylinder and cause leaking.
-
Install the APB booster to the master cylinder with original bolts and hardware.
-
Bleed the brakes in all 4 corners. (Same process as installing the big brake kit)
-
Test the booster by pumping the brake pedal several times and holding it down with the engine off. If the booster works correctly, the brake pedal will drop slightly when the engine is started.
