DASHCAM OPERATION
Inserting and Ejecting the microSD Card
The dashcam will not function without a microSD card. If a microSD card is not
inserted, the dashcam will not record video. Instead, it will give you a
continuous audio/visual warning on vehicle startup until a card is inserted.
Follow instructions below to either insert or eject the microSD card.
- Squeeze and hold the front and rear End cap release buttons.
- Continue to squeeze both End cap release buttons and pull out the End cap.
- Insert the microSD card into the microSD card slot to record video. Eject the microSD card to view the recorded videos on a computer. Push the microSD card inward until it clicks and release to remove.
- 0 Slide the End cap to the hook of Wire channel and attach it to the Mounting bracket.
NOTE
- Never eject the microSD card while the dashcam is accessing the card (Green REC LED is on). Otherwise it may damage the microSD card and the dashcam itself.
- Before ejecting the microSD card, unplug the “(14) DC in (Power Connector)” and confirm the dashcam is powered off (ALL LEDs off).
- The dashcam will not work without inserting the recommended microSD card. If no microSD card is inserted or the wrong type of microSD card is inserted you will hear warning voice prompts and all LEDs will flash together.
Starting Dashcam
The dashcam will automatically power on and start loop recording (1-minute
video files) when the vehicle ignition is turned on. When the dashcam is on
and recording, the REC LED will illuminate continuously.
Recording Video and Audio
When the dashcam powers on, it starts recording video and audio (if the
microphone is turned on) automatically. When the vehicle is turned off it
stops loop recording. If Parking Mode impact detection is turned on, it will
remain in a low power state and turn on to start recording for 1 minute when
it detects an unusual shock or vibration.
Lock Event Files
- Automatic: When the dashcam detects an unusual shock during normal mode and parking mode, it records an event file that is protected from being overwritten by newer files. During normal mode and parking quick wake-up mode, it starts recording 5 seconds before the event and during parking normal wake-up mode, it starts recording 5 seconds after the event. Event recording progress is indicated by the REC LED that illuminates green during the event recording. A maximum of SO event files can be protected, if the maximum number of files is reached and the “overwrite locked event files when full” setting is disabled, old protected files must be deleted to add new protected recordings.
- Manual: Touch the proximity sensor to manually trigger event recording.
