Introduction

The Dante 2-Channel Power Amplifier 240W (Model 500553) features a Dante slot card that accepts the digital signal from the Dante network and converts it to an analog audio signal using it as the input source of the amplifier. Simply use “Dante Controller” to route a signal from source devices that are on the same Dante network. Its space-saving 1/2 rack design allows for quick installation and provides flexibility to mix and match with other 1/2 rack products to save valuable equipment rack space.
This powerful class D amplifier is combined with features such as 12V trigger control, audio sensing, volume gain adjustment, short circuit protection and overheating protection.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before using the device, read all instructions in the user manual carefully.
  2. Ensure that all included accessories are present. If any items are missing, contact the supplier from whom you purchased the unit.
  3. Connect the Dante Interface to a Dante network switch using the provided cable.
  4. Make sure the network LED on the Dante Interface illuminates yellow, indicating a successful connection to the network.
  5. If the network LED turns green or blinks, it means the unit has obtained an IP address and is communicating with the network.
  6. In Auto mode, the amplifier will be triggered on when it receives a signal from the Dante Network.
  7. On the front panel, the ON button keeps the unit powered on at all times, while the AUTO button activates standby mode after 15 minutes of no signal detection.
  8. To power on the unit using an external trigger, provide 12VDC at the Trigger input on the rear panel.
  9. The LED indicator on the front panel will be green when the unit is powered on and red when in standby mode.
  10. The amplifier supports two channels of audio and can deliver 120W per channel at 8Ω or 4Ω, or a bridged output of 240W at 4Ω or 8Ω.
  11. It features a high pass filter for frequency response control and provides short circuit protection and overheating protection.
  12. The amplifier has a natural cooling system without a fan and meets Energy Star power consumption limits of less than 0.5W in standby mode.
