The air humidifier is a home appliance and is not designed for industrial applications!

PURPOSE OF THE APPLIANCE: for indoor air humidification.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The appliance purchased by You complies with all safety standards applicable to electric appliances in the Russian Federation. The following requirements should be strictly observed in order to avoid situations hazardous for human life and health, as well as premature failures of the appliance:

  1. Ensure that the power supply grid voltage corresponds to the one indicated on the appliance before operating it.
  2. In case of damage to the power cable or any other part of the appliance immediately disconnect the appliance from power supply and apply to the Manufacturer’s service centre. In case of unskilled intervention into the appliance or non-observance of the operating requirements listed in the present manual the warranty becomes void.
  3. Connect the appliance only to power grid sockets equipped with earthing contacts, use only two-pole extension cables with 10A rating and an earthing conductor.
  4. Do not use multiple high-power appliances simultaneously – this may lead to malfunctions in residential power supply systems.
  5. Do not use adapters for connecting the unit to the electric socket to avoid the risk of fire.
  6. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
  7. Never leave the operating humidifier unattended.
  8. Place and use the air humidifier on a smooth stable surface, provide free access to the power socket.
  9. Do not turn the humidifier on without water and turn it off as soon as the water in the tank is used up.
  10. Firmly hold the base of the appliance with the water tank filled in your hands.
  11. Always disconnect the appliance from power supply before cleaning or filling the tank with water.
  12. Use the appliance in a well ventilated place. Under no circumstances place the appliance near curtains or cover it while it is operating.
  13. Do not add any foreign substances to the humidifier, other than water.
  14. If the humidifier is not in use or requires cleaning, always disconnect it from power supply.
  15. Do not allow the power cable to hang from the table, avoid its contact with hot surfaces and sharp edges of kitchen furniture.
  16. Do not touch the power cable plug with wet hands.
  17. When disconnecting the appliance from the power socket grab and pull the plug, not the cable.
  18. Do not pull the power cable if it touches sharp edges, is jammed by any objects or entangled.
  19. Avoid contact of the power cable with hot surfaces.
  20. Do not submerge the power cable, plug or the slicer itself in water to avoid the risk of electric shock. Should this happen, DO NOT TOUCH the appliance, immediately disconnect it from the power grid and only after that remove the unit from the water. Apply to an authorized service centre to have the unit checked or repaired.
  21. Regularly check the power cable and plug for damage.
  22. Do not let children play with the appliance.
  23. The appliance should not be used by physically, sensory or mentally handicapped persons (including children) or by persons without sufficient experience or knowledge, unless such persons are under supervision, or have been instructed on the use of the appliance, by the persons responsible for their safety.
  24. Only the use of original spare parts is allowed. Do not use accessories which are not included in the scope of supply.
  25. Do not operate the appliance at temperatures below 0 °С and above 35 °С. If the appliance has been exposed to temperatures below 0 °С for a prolonged time, place it in a heated environment for at least 3 hours before turning it on.
  26. Do not let children play with polyethylene bags or packaging tape. Danger of suffocation!
  27. Do not operate the appliance if its power cable or plug is damaged, if doesn’t run smoothly or has been dropped.
  28. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourselves. In all cases apply to an authorized service centre.

SCOPE OF SUPPLY

  • Ultrasonic air humidifier, complete – 1 pc.

OPERATING PROCEDURE

MATTENTION!

Leave the appliance indoors for 30 minutes before first startup to prevent it from damage caused by drastic ambient temperature fluctuations.

  1. Remove the water tank from the humidifier base. Open the tank lid.
  2. Fill the tank with water. Use only cold clean water.
  3. Close the tank lid. Ensure that water is not leaking out. Reinstall the water tank on the humidifier base.
  4. Connect the appliance to power supply.
  5. Adjust the vapor discharge direction by turning the nozzle (1).

NOTE: Moisture buildup around the appliance indicates that the humidity in the room is too high. Adjust the vapor output accordingly.

ATTENTION!

Never turn the appliance on if there is no water in the tank.

Prevent the appliance’s base from contacting with water. Do not move the appliance with the tank filled with water.

CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS

ON/OFF Button

Press the ON/OFF button to turn the appliance on. A long audio tone will be emitted and the number «1» will appear on the display, the appliance will start operating at a minimum vapor output capacity. Temperature and humidity values will be intermittently displayed during appliance operation in the format . Press the ON/OFF button again to turn the appliance off

«ГИГРОСТАТ» (HYGROSTAT) Button (Humidity Level Adjustment)

Press the HYGROSTST button to set the desired air humidity in the room. The adjustment values range from 45 to 90 % with a 5 % increment. After the humidity value is set the numeric indicator will flash for 3 seconds, then the appliance will automatically maintain the set humidity level; the current air humidity level will be displayed. In order to reset the humidity level setting press the HYGROSTAT button once again and select the 90 % value.

«УВЛАЖНЕНИЕ» (HUMIDIFY) Button (Vapor Discharge Output Adjustment)

In order to change the vapor discharge intensity press the HUMIDIFY several times: 1 – low, 2 – medium, 3 – high vapor output level. The corresponding numeric value will appear on the display.

«СТЕРИЛИЗАЦИЯ» (STERILIZE) Button

(Activating/Deactivating the Sterilization Function)

In order to activate the function press the STERILIZE button, the corresponding indicator will appear on the display, a blue light will turn on inside the tank. Press the button again to deactivate the function; the indicator and the blue light will turn off.

TIMER Button on the RC Unit (Timer Setup)

To set the timer press the TIMER button; the indicator will appear on the display. Select the desired value: 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours. The corresponding value will appear on the display. When the set time period elapses the appliance will switch to the standby mode.

SLEEP Button on the RC Unit (Nighttime Mode Activation)

To activate the nighttime mode press the SLEEP button; the display will turn off, the vapor discharge intensity will decrease. Press the button again to deactivate the mode; the appliance will return to the previous settings.

Automatic Low Water Shutdown Function

The appliance is equipped with a water level sensor (4). When the water level in the tank is low the appliance will stop discharging vapor, an audio signal will be emitted and the symbol will appear on the display. Turn the appliance off and refill the tank with water.

USING AROMATIC OILS

In order to add aromatic oil, remove the oil container (7), add a few drops of oil and reinstall the container in the humidifier base. Never add oil directly into the water tank, as this may damage the appliance.

MAINTENANCE

Always turn the appliance off before cleaning. Hard water causes scale on the sprinkler and in the process chamber. This may lead to humidifier malfunctions and exterior deterioration. In order to prevent the formation of scale:

  • use boiled, filtered or distilled water;
  • clean the process chamber every week;
  • change the water in the tank more often.

WEEKLY MAINTENANCE

  • It is recommended to clean the water tank once every week. Wash the process chamber using a liquid detergent. Then thoroughly rinse with pure water.
  • Apply 5 to 10 drops of detergent on the sprinkler; wait for approx. 2 to 5 minutes. Use a soft brush to remove the deposits from the sprinkler surface.
  • You can use a kettle scaling agent as the detergent for cleaning the sprinkler.
  • Do not submerge the appliance in water or any other liquids.

ATTENTION!

Microorganisms that may be present in the water or in the environment where the humidifier is used or stored can accumulate in the water tank and, if released into the air, pose very serious health risks. It is recommended to clean the water tank and renew the water every 3 days.

STORAGE

  • Drain water from the tank and process chamber before putting the appliance away for storage.
  • Wipe the process chamber with a dry cloth.
  • Do not store the appliance with water in the tank and/or process chamber.
  • Store appliance in a dry cool place, out of reach of children.

Upon expiry of its service life the appliance can be disposed of separately from ordinary domestic waste. You can turn it over to a specialized electric and electronic appliance disposal and recycling centre.

CERTIFICATION DATA, GUARANTEE

The service life of this item is 5 years since the date of sale to the end user, provided the item will be used in strict accordance with the present manual and the applicable technical standards. Upon expiry of the service life please contact the nearest authorized service centre for suggestions as to further operation of the appliance. The manufacturing date of the appliance is integrated into the serial number (digits 2 and 3 – year, digits 4 and 5 – month of manufacture). If any questions related to appliance maintenance should arise, or if the appliance has malfunctions, apply to the CENTEK TM Authorized Service Center. DEAR CONSUMER!

The guarantee period for all appliances amounts to 12 months from the date of sale to the end consumer. With this Warranty Card the Manufacturer confirms the proper condition of the appliance and undertakes to repair, free of charge, all defects caused by the Manufacturer’s default.

GUARANTEE MAINTENANCE TERMS

  1. The guarantee shall be valid if the following documentation conditions are observed:

    • The original Warranty Card shall be filled out correctly and clearly, indicating the of appliance model, serial number and sale date, the stamp of the seller company and signature of its representative shall be available, as well as the stamps on each coupon and the buyer’s signature in the Warranty Card. The Manufacturer reserves the right to reject guarantee maintenance if the buyer fails to provide the abovementioned documents or if the information contained therein is incomplete, illegible or ambiguous.
  2. The guarantee shall be valid if the following operation conditions are observed:

    • the appliance is used in strict accordance with the present manual;
    • the safety rules and requirements are observed.
  3. The guarantee does not apply to regular maintenance, cleaning, installation and setup of the appliance at the owner’s location.

  4. The guarantee does not apply in the following cases:

    • mechanical damage;

    • normal wear of the appliance;

    • non-observance of operation requirements or erroneous actions on the part of the user;

    • improper installation or transportation;

    • natural disasters (lightning, fire, flood, etc.), as well as any other causes beyond the Manufacturer’s or Seller’s control;

    • ingress of foreign objects, liquids or insects into the inside of the appliance;

    • repairs or modifications to the appliance by unauthorized persons;

    • use of the appliance for commercial purposes (loads exceeding normal domestic application), connection of the appliance to utility and telecommunication networks incompliant with national technical standards;

    • failure of the following accessories, if replacement of these is allowed by design and does not involve disassembly of the appliance:
      a. remote control units, rechargeable batteries, replaceable batteries (power cells), external power supply units and chargers;
      b. consumables and accessories (packaging, covers, slings, carry bags, mesh screens, blades, flasks, plates, supports, grilles, spits, hoses, tubes, brushes, nozzles, dust collectors, filters, smell absorbers);

    • for battery-powered appliances – operation with inappropriate or depleted batteries;

    • for rechargeable battery-powered appliances – any damage caused by improper battery charging and recharging.

  5. The present guarantee is provided by the Manufacturer in addition to the consumer rights determined by the applicable legislation and does not limit these rights in any way.

  6. The Manufacturer shall not be made liable for possible damage, directly or indirectly inflicted by CENTEK brand products on people, domestic animals, the consumer’s or third persons’ property if such damage is inflicted as the result of non-observance of appliance installation and operation requirements, deliberate or negligent actions (omission) by the consumer or third persons, as well as of force majeure circumstances.

  7. Service centers will only accept appliances in a clean state (there should be no food residues, dust and other contamination on the appliance).

The Manufacturer reserves the right to change the design and specifications of the appliance without prior notice.
