Getting Started
3.1 Input & Output Ports
3.2LCD Screen
3.3 Battery Cells
3.3.1 Power Reserve:
The storage capacity of the power supply is the rated value. The rated power
storage of the power Station is shown in the parameter label in the power
station manual, which is usually marked directly Wh, and the rated voltage
(V) and rated capacity (mAh) are also marked, and the power storage (Wh) =
rated voltage rated capacity (mAh) / 1000.
3.3.2 The Actual Power Discharged From the Power Station:
The actual power discharged by the power station is related to the fol- lowing
parameters:
-
Ambient Temperature
The ambient temperature has a great influence on the power dischar- ged from the battery, for example, the range of electric vehicles will be shortened when they are used in cold areas. Generally speaking, with the rated 25°C(77°F) as the base, for every 10°C(50°F) decrease above 0 °C(32°F), the power discharged will be reduced by 10-15%. For every 10 °C(50°F) lower than 0°C, the power discharged will be reduced by 30%. -
Efficiency
During the discharge process, the battery voltage needs to be transfor- med, which inevitably brings energy loss, especially the inverter (AC output) part, which is influenced by the ambient temperature and the power level of the equipment running, and the loss varies from 5-15%. Therefore, the measured power released from the output side under full load is only 85%-95% of the rated capacity.
3.3.3 Power Station with Load Time:
Operating time = 1050Wh * 0.85 / your device’s operating power. (15% loss).
The duration of our devices is based on laboratory data and may vary for
specific device use.
3.4 The Output Power of the Power Station
3.4.1 Definition of Rated Power:
The rated output power of the power station refers to the rated output power
of the inverter (AC output) part, and the rest of the power is ge- nerally not
marked because the power is relatively small compared to the inverter (AC
output). Power station can be AC part of the full power and other ports full
power output at the same time.
3.4.2 Notes on the Power of Connected Devices:
For such devices with very high starting current (3-5 times the rated power)
and long starting time (about 10S), for example: hair curlers, laser printers,
with motors and non-inverter type loads (air conditio- ners, washing machines,
etc.). The display of the output will exceed a lot, this is normal. Please pay
extra attention to the fact that the rated power of the power station should
be 3-5 times greater than the rated power of these appliances.
3.4.3 Display of Output:
Some appliances may be marked with their rated power, which itself also needs
to calculate the actual operating efficiency or slightly diffe- rent according
to the output voltage, so if the power displayed by the power station itself
is not much different from the rated power of the device itself (e.g. 20%), it
is generally a normal phenomenon. If it exce- eds more, you need to verify the
power of the equipment or need to confirm the existence of power or load
failure.
3.5 Alarm Function
When the power station triggers the protection mechanism, it will au-
tomatically cut off all outputs and enter the alarm reminder, while the screen
icon will flash synchronously and continue to alarm for 60 se- conds until the
user manually turns off the power.
3.6 EPS and Bypass Function
When your ETA Pro is plugged into the wall, anything plugged into it gets
power from the grid, not its battery. If power from the grid stops, ETA Pro
automatically switches to its battery supply mode within 30 milliseconds.
3.7 Auto Power Off
3.7.1 When all outputs of DC/AC/USB/Wireless charger are off, the display will
enter hibernation mode after 50 seconds and will shut down automatically after
1 minute.
3.7.2 If the AC/DC/USB/Wireless charging ports are all open or one of them is
open, the display will not automatically shut down.
3.8Fan
When the temperature of the power station exceeds 45°C, the fan will start to
run and accelerate as the temperature rises to better help the power station
dissipate heat. If the product is still hot inside after the load is removed,
the fan will continue to run and dissipate heat to extend the life of the
power sta- tion. Typically, the fan will stop spinning after about 10 minutes
of ope- ration (depending on the load power and site temperature).
3.9 Wireless Charging
The wireless charging logo is on the top of the power station (the circle at
the top is the center of wireless charging). Please activate the wire- less
charging mode before use.
4. Recharging
The product has a charging protection function, once the productis fully
charged, it will automatically stop charging. It is recommended to disconnect
the charging connection in time after the product shows that it is fully
charged.
4.1 Solar Charging
The XT60 charging port on the ETA Pro can be connected to a solar panel for
charging (requires the use of an XT60 adapter cable in the solar panel).
The product is equipped with an internal MPPT system. When connec- ted to the
solar panel, the product will automatically start charging and the battery
icon will scroll while the screen will show the charging power.
The power of the solar panel is greatly affected by light, so the input power
may fluctuate, which is normal.
4.2 AC Charging
Plug the AC input port of the charging cable into the AC power supply.
Plug the output port of the charging cable into the mains charging port on the
side of the power supply and the battery icon starts to scroll while the
charging power is displayed.
4.3 Car Charging
Plug the DC input of the Car charging cable into the Car cigarette ligh- ter.
Plug the DC output of the car charging cable into the XT60 port of the
portable power station and the battery icon will scroll while the charging
power is displayed.
Troubleshooting
5.1 Charging Failure
5.1.1 The charging cable is not plugged into place. Please insert the input
and output of the charging cable into place.
5.1.2 The ambient temperature is too high. It is dangerous to use the lithium
battery at temperatures above the specified temperature, so if the ambient
temperature is low or high, the product’s internal tempe- rature protection
will stop charging and discharging. In this case, please wait for the product
temperature to recover before using it.
5.1.3 Please make sure that the voltage version of the purchased power station
meets your local utility power standard (110V in the US, 100V in Japan, 230V
in Europe).
5.2 Automatic Shutdown When Loading
5.2.1 The power of the rear stage load exceeds the specified value (after the
load is connected, the power is turned on and the alarm icon on the display
will light up after the output is automatically cut off). Please note that
some loads have a high starting current although the nominal power is small,
which will also cause the product to enter the overload protection state.
5.2.2 Short-circuit fault exists in the rear load: Confirming this fault
requires a professional to measure it with special tools (such as using a
multimeter to measure the resistance of the rear device). Overload or short-
circuit fault can be confirmed with a normal low-power load. If there is no
problem with a slightly lower-power load, it is usually a rear load overload
or short-circuit fault.
5.2.3 The display protection mark lights up during operation, no output: the
internal temperature of the inverter may be too high, the power station stops
output, normal ambient temperature, normal load generally does not appear this
situation, if it appears, please check ac- cording to the following
recommendations. First, whether the ambient temperature is too high resulting
in the internal temperature rise of the power station exceeds the specified
value; second, both sides of the power station have heat dissipation holes,
you need to leave at least 20cm of space for air circulation heat dissipation,
pay attention not to place some light paper, plastic film, cloth and other
soft materials, be- cause the fan will form suction when turning, these
materials are ad- sorbed will greatly affect the power station heat
dissipation resulting in internal protection. After eliminating the above
abnormalities, the power station can be used again after cooling for a period
of time.
5.2.4 Product failure. If the above abnormalities are excluded and the product
still does not work properly, the power station itself may be malfunctioning
and needs to be repaired.
5.3 Automatic Shutdown After Outputting
In order to save power consumption and avoid no power available at the time of
need, the device will rest at 50 seconds when no output port switch is turned
on, and then automatically shut down after 60 se- conds. If you need to use it
at this time, you need to restart the power station.
5.4 Unable to Power On
5.4.1 Ambient temperature exceeds the specified temperature power internal
protection. Lithium-ion batteries over the specified tempera- ture use is very
easy to dangerous, so if the ambient temperature is very low or very high, the
product’s internal temperature protection will not respond to the power on in
the off state, if it has been turned on will stop charging and discharging. In
this case, please wait for the product temperature to recover before using.
5.4.2 If the ambient temperature is normal, the battery may have been stored
for too long causing the battery to run out of power, please plug in the
charging cable to charge for at least 1 hour before use.
5.4.3 If the power station still cannot be turned on after taking the above
measures, and there is no response when you press any button, the power
station needs professional repair.
5.5 Short Discharge Time
5.5.1 The ambient temperature has a large impact on the battery discharge
time, especially when the ambient temperature is below 0 degrees.
5.5.2 The product has a high number of cycles. The battery’s capacity will
gradually decay as the number of cycles increases. Generally, when the rated
cycle life is reached, the capacity is only 80% of the rated ca- pacity. This
is a normal phenomenon and can continue to be used, but the discharge time
will be shortened accordingly.
5.6 Wireless Charging Failure
5.6.1 Please turn on the wireless charging mode before use.
5.6.2 Wrong position: Please move the phone to the corresponding position.
5.6.3 In order to wireless charging function properly, please do not use more
than 3-5mm thick phone case.
5.6.4 The surface is hot: Because the coil of wireless charging is hot, so
there will be a little heat at the wireless charger. But please pay extra
attention to the back of the phone can not have metal substances, which will
lead to abnormal heating and can not be charged properly.
5.7 Product Overheating
When the power station with a larger load, the inverter at the top and the
battery at the bottom will generate a certain amount of heat, the cooling fan
will start to dissipate heat, even so, the shell will still have a certain
temperature rise, the temperature of the shell will reach about 40 degrees in
the area where the heat is concentrated at full load (rela- ted to the ambient
temperature), this situation is normal.
5.8 DC and USB Output Error
5.8.1 Corresponding switch is not turned on:
Make sure that the DC and USB switches are pressed and the corres- ponding
icons are lit.
5.8.2 Output overload protection:
When the DC and USB outputs are overloaded, the outputs will be au-
tomatically cut off and the alarm icon will flash. In this case, you need to
disconnect the power of the connected device, then press the DC and USB switch
again to make sure the alarm icon is no longer flashing and you can use it
again.
5.8.3 No response when the device is turned on and the correspon- dingicon
flashes:
Some DC devices have a high starting current (such as car vacuum cle- aners),
and the power station may not respond at the moment of star- ting, or it may
enter the protection state in a short time. When you en- counter this
situation, please judge and operate as described in 5.8.2.
