UVAL-1.55X Round Frame Anamorphic Lens
The product user guide contains product features, how to use them, and the

Instructions
Adjust the phone clip and screw it onto your phone camera.
Keep the clip aligned with your
phone camera and tighten the back screw to clamp the phone.
Screw lens into the clip
clockwise.
Rotate the front of the lens by adjusting to the horizontal direction. Now
you’re ready to start filming and taking photos!
Notes
If the phone camera is bulging, we suggest you use the clip while your
phone is in a phone case.
In order to protect the lens, we recommend you carry the lens in the protection case.
Filming
You can start your phone filmmaking process in two ways.
You can either shoot your footage directly from your smartphone and then edit
them later on your computer with some video editing software to create the
widescreen look.
You can also download the following apps which enable you to edit the footage
straight from your phone.
Instructions for using FiLMic Pro
First, choose the “Setting” icon and then click the “Hardware” icon on the
pop-up menu.
Then click the “1.55X Anamorphic Adapter” on the pop-up menu to open the
widescreen mode.
Then return to the main menu and select the “Resolution ratio” icon, click the “2.76:1” widescreen ratio after the menu pops up. Then tap around the menu window. You are ready to start shooting a widescreen anamorphic cinematic smartphone footage.
In the FotorGear app, choose the “Settings” icon, then click the “Anamorphic Lens Support” icon. Then select the “1.55X Anamorphic” lens you are using. The app will correct the ratio.
Frequently Asked Questions
How can I achieve an Anamorphic Lens Flare on my phone?
Please reference the light source as follows.
- For the large Bokeh-Esque flares, directly shoot the center of a light source. The stronger the light source is, the more glare effect you get. If the light source is filtered, the glare may not be obvious, and the light is blurred.
- The ambient light should be weaker that the light source. Otherwise, the glare is not obvious or there is no effect.
- Please move the angle of your phone while shooting the videography to hunt for those magical beams of light.
Why the pictures and videos shot with this lens are distorted?
The reason is that the lens of the 1.55X anamorphic lens is essentially
different from a standard spherical lens. It can make wide scenes compressed
and refracted into the
standard version, which explains the distorted image and is normal.
It is highly recommended that you use mobile apps to take videos, such as the
aforementioned FiLMic Pro, ProMovie, and FotorGear. You can also use editing
software to compress and restore the image.
Why doesn’t the flashlight work when the lens is in use?
This is because the lens diameter is bigger than the smartphone camera lens.
When you put the anamorphic lens on the native lens, it will block the
flashlight.
