PEREL BG90007 Electronic Safe Box

Product Information

  1. The product model number is BG90007.
  2. The product is a safe with lock bolts, batteries, and two keys included.

Product Usage Instructions

Installing the Safe

To reduce the risk of theft, follow these steps to install the safe:

  1. Use the predrilled holes at the bottom and/or back of the safe to define the position of the drill holes.
  2. Fix the safe to the desired location using the supplied expansion bolts.
  3. Ensure that the safe is installed in a horizontal position.

Preparations

First Use/Emergency Mode

Follow these steps for first use or when your codes have been lost or the battery level is too low:

  1. Open the key compartment by removing the plastic cover between the knob and the numeral keypad.
  2. Insert the override key and turn it to the left while turning the knob to the right at the same time.

Installing the Batteries

Follow these steps to install the batteries:

  1. Open the battery compartment.
  2. Install the batteries according to the indicated polarity. Use alkaline batteries for best results.
  3. Close the battery compartment.

Note: Removing the batteries will delete the code. Re-enter your personal code after changing the batteries.

Operation

To open the safe, follow the manufacturer’s instructions provided with the product.

Installing the Safe

To reduce the risk of theft, the safe can be secured to the floor, wall or in a cupboard. Use the predrilled holes at the bottom and/or back to define the position of the drill holes. Fix the safe using the supplied expansion bolts. Install the safe in a horizontal position.

Preparations

First Use/Emergency Mode

WARNING!
The override key will open the safe without need of a code. It is therefore important never to store the override key inside or near the safe. The override key is also the only key with which you can open the safe in case of a lost code or empty batteries.
Use the emergency mode when opening the safe for the first time, when your codes have been lost or when the battery level is too low.

  1. Open the key compartment: remove the plastic cover between the knob and the numeral keypad.
  2. Insert the override key and turn to the left. At the same time, turn the knob to the right.
Installing the Batteries

WARNING!
Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away from children.

Change the batteries as soon as the red LED lights.

  1. Open the battery compartment and install the batteries according to the indicated polarity. It is recommended to use alkaline batteries only.
  2. Close the battery compartment.

Remark
Removing the batteries will delete the code. Re-enter your personal code. Refer to 5.3 Setting the Code.

Setting/Changing the Personal Code

  1. With the safe door open, press the red button on the inside of the door.
  2. Enter a personal code – this code must be 3 to 8 digits long. Confirm with [#]. The beep means that your code has been validated.

Operation

To open the safe:

  1. Enter your personal code and confirm with [#].The safe box will beep and the green LED will light.
  2. Turn the knob clockwise to open the door.

Remark:
You have 5 seconds to open the door after the beep. Failing to do so will automatically deactivate the entered code. Please repeat the steps above.

WARNING!
Three (3) erroneous code inputs will freeze the system for 20 seconds. Subsequent input of three erroneous code will freeze the system for 5 minutes.

Key Sound

Press [] + [633] to deactivate the key sound; press [] + [66] to activate the key sound.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Occasionally wipe with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents.

General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):

  • All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.

  • Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion.
    You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.

  • Not covered by warranty:

    • all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity…), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;
    • consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, nonrechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts… (unlimited list);
    • flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc.…;
    • flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions;
    • damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);
    • damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;
    • all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.
  • Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.

  • Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.

  • Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.

  • The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
    The above enumeration is subject to modification according to the article (see article’s manual).
