Proper disposal of used electric and electronic appliances ensures their
adequate processing and recycling in order to avoid damage to the environment
and public health as well as to preserve natural resources.
INSTALLATION
The floor of the room where the stove will be installed must be of size and
structure sufficient to support its weight.
If an existing construction does not meet this prerequisite, adequate measures
(for example, the installation of a load distribution plate) must be taken to
allow the ground to support the device.
In the presence of a wooden floor, provide a protective surface in accordance
with the regulations in force in the country.
The wall must be made up of incombustible materials.
Maintain a minimum rear distance of 20 cm, a lateral distance of 40 cm and a
front distance of 100 cm, any wall and any fuel object. These distances must
be respected to allow the technician to carry out maintenance, and for the
safety of the product itself. In the presence of particularly delicate objects
such as furniture, curtains, sofas, considerably increase the distance from
the stove. For proper functioning and good distribution of the temperature,
the stove must be placed in a place where the necessary air can circulate for
the combustion of the pellets (about 40 m3/h must be available according to
the installation standard and according to the regulations in force in the
country). The volume of the environment should not be less than 20 m3.
It is mandatory to provide an external air intake which allows the combustion
air supply necessary for the proper functioning of the stove.
It is recommended to connect the air necessary for combustion directly to the
external air inlet, with a Ø 40 mm hose, with a maximum length of 2 linear
meters, each curve of the pipe is equivalent to a leak of a linear meter
(diagram opposite). It is possible to take the air directly in the room where
the stove is installed, in this case, the air intake of the room must have a
total net minimum surface of 100 cm² protected by an external grid which
should not be obstructed and must be cleaned periodically. The surface must be
increased accordingly if there are other active generators inside the room
(for example: electric fan for stammering air, hood, other stoves, etc.) ,
which can depress the environment.
The air inlet grids must be positioned so that they cannot block or close
accidentally.
CHIMNEY
- The indications below are intended to give information on the construction of a good chimney, but it must in no case be considered as a substitute for the standards in force in the country of installation, standards of which the qualified manufacturer must be in possession. The manufacturer of the stove declines any civil or criminal liability concerning the dysfunction of the stove due to a poor
- sized chimney and/or not in accordance with the regulations in force which must be respected.
- The chimney must be built according to manufacturing standards (≥ T200), must be vertical without bottlenecks, must be resistant to condensation and must be resistant to soot fire. It must be isolated from the outside to avoid cooling of smoke and must be equipped with a condensate drain. If the chimney is a concrete cavity, it must be tubed.
- The chimney must be able to be inspected for cleaning and must be spaced flammable and/or combustible materials.
- The chimney must always be clean, any residue of soot reduces the section of the fireplace, compromises the draw, and can generate a hole fire. Clean up the smoke duct and the chimney by a specialized sweater at least once a year and before lighting the stove after periods of inactivity. Provide a visit hatch at the base of the chimney flue to be able to carry out periodic checks and sweeping. The absence of cleaning will affect the proper functioning of the device.
- Check, by means of appropriate instruments, that the cold draft is at least 4 Pa .
- Imperatively control that a backflow protection of the roof output has been installed, in accordance with the standards in force
- Check the correct configurations using the standard EN 13384-1
CONNECTION TO THE CHIMNEY
-
The connection between the stove and the chimney must be made with a pipe 80 or 100 mm diameter with a maximum length determined by a calculation note.
-
For each elbow of 45 °, consider a loss equal to one meter of linear section.
Example: 5m maximum length with 2 elbows = 5m – 2m = 3m (the tee with tee cap does not count for a elbow) -
The pipe must have a smooth inner surface and resist heat (quality ≥ T200).
-
The first change of direction must take place after at least 1.5 meters of vertical section.
-
The use of flexible metal pipes, in fiberociment, or aluminum is prohibited. The duct must be as direct and as vertical as possible to avoid soiling and promote natural draught.
-
Provide the basis of the smoke an inspection for periodic controls.
-
It is prohibited to connect more than one device to the same smoke duct.
-
Maintain the smoke duct at a sufficient distance from any flammable or thermotensile element.
Rear connection
The stove is supplied by default with the rear flue pipe.
- Secure the adaptor to the back of the stove with the screws provided and a high temperature silicone gasket.
- Use a tee with tee cap (80mm input) to connect the pipe to the stove
Top connection
Since the stove is designed for the evacuation of smoke from the rear, it is
necessary to modify it to connect it from the top.
- remove the left side panel to access the smoke box.
Remove the top plate of the smoke box.
Fix the plate at the back of the smoke box by inserting the gasket.
Secure the nozzle to the smoke box with the screws and a high temperature silicone gasket.
Remove the lid from the top of the stove.
Pass the pipe and fit it on the adaptor using a sleeve if necessary

THERMOSTATIC PROBE
The room temperature is detected thanks to the probe located on the back of the device. This probe must be deployed so as not to be affected by the temperature of the stove.
EXTERNAL ROOM THERMOSTAT
The stove is equipped with a connector for the connection of an external thermostat. This thermostat allows you to manage the functioning of the stove through the wall thermostat rather than through the probe at the back of the stove. The thermostat must be of the “dry contact” type to turn on or turn off the stove according to heat needs. Configure this thermostat to manage a pellet stove.
