Product Information

The Mars-B1000 Series is a range of swing barrier turnstiles manufactured by ZKTeco. These turnstiles are designed for controlled access and pedestrian management in various environments. The Mars-B1000 Series includes the following applicable models: Mars-B1000, Mars-B1011, Mars-B1022, Mars-B1200, Mars-B1211, and Mars-B1222. The version of the product is 1.0.
Important Note: Due to regular upgrades of systems and products, ZKTeco cannot guarantee exact consistency between the actual product and the written information in this manual.

Installation Requirements

1. It is recommended that the swing barrier turnstile must be installed on a horizontal solid platform with a height of 50mm to 100mm.
2. It is also recommended that the swing barrier turnstile should not be used in a corrosive environment.
3. Make sure the ground wire of the system is reliably connected to avoid personal injuries or other accidents.
4. After installation, check if the connections are done correctly at the connecting points of the ground wire, at the connector assemblies and wiring points of the circuits, as well as at each movable part of the swing barrier turnstile. Tighten any loose nuts, screws, and other fasteners in time to avoid failures caused by long-time operations.

Installation Position

The installation position of the swing barrier turnstile depends on its size. A distance of 100mm between the swing barrier turnstile and the wall needs to be reserved for ease of opening the top cover of the machine to perform maintenance and adjustment.

Preparation

To install the Mars-B1000 Series, you must have the following tools:

• Screwdriver: To remove or install screws on the device.
• Pencil: To mark the device size and the screw hole.
• Electric Drill: To drill holes according to the marked screw holes.
• Wrench: To secure the M12 expansion screw on the device.
• Tapeline: To measure the dimensions that need to be measured during the installation of the device.

Installation

1. Place the turnstile at the installation site.
2. Remove the screws fixing the top lid, and remove the top lid.
3. Remove the side lid that hangs on the device.
4. Mark the floor following the periphery of the legs.
5. Take the turnstile aside and use the electric drill according to the drawn screw holes.
6. Clean up the soil and dust after the drilling is completed, place the turnstile at the installation site again.
7. Insert the M12 expansion screw and tighten it with a wrench.
8. Connect the online cables and perform the power-on test. If the test is OK, install the side lid and top lid of the device.
9. It is recommended to mark a warning line on the ground after installing the device to prompt pedestrians to stand behind the warning line during verification.
10. If you need to assemble the swing arm by yourself, please refer to the provided diagram for installation. Note that the swing arm is already installed in the factory.
