Klemko IB-PIR-ECO Presence Detector Instruction Manual

1.0 DESCRIPTION

The PLF-IB-PIR-ECO presence detector is a compact sensor with a flat lens. As a result, it takes up little space above the ceiling and guarantees a beautiful, well- rounded finish. The housing incorporates the highly sensitive detector, as well as the switch box. The sensor is fully adjustable in time and lux value. Thanks to the supplied lens mask, the detection field can be adjusted according to preference.

2.0  INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY

NOTE: isolate all connection cables before installation. Read the instructions for use carefully. If in doubt, consult a qualified installer! ****

2.1  Choosing a position

The optimal mounting height is 2.5 metres. If the sensor is placed higher, the detection sensitivity decreases.
The detection area is a circle of 7 metres. The inner core of this area is the most sensitive, the outer edge has a lower sensitivity level. The sensor can be used up to a height of 5 metres, the detection range then increases to Ø10m.

Determine the location where the detector is to be mounted in the ceiling, bearing the following in mind:

  1. Air ducts: look out for discharge from extractor hoods, heating vents, tumble driers,
  2. Objects that could be moved by air currents such as plants and
  3. Do not point the sensor at other light
  4. Do not point the sensor at highly reflective surfaces such as swimming pools (because of rapid temperature changes).
  5. Be aware of where people walk and in what direction (always try to position the field in such a way that the walking direction crosses the field instead of moving straight towards the detector).

Do not install the detector on conducting surfaces

2.2 Installation

  1. Drill a Ø65 mm hole in the ceiling board, which should be between 5 and 25 mm
  2. Leave the phase, neutral and switch wire hanging out of the
  3. Strip between 6 and 8 mm off the
  4. Connect the wires up to the right connections
  5. Place the sensor in the

NOTE: after switching on the voltage on the sensor, it takes 60 seconds before the sensor is at operating temperature and can be put into operation

3.0 Lux setting

The potentiometer for the lux value is used to set and activate the sensory threshold. When the measured value falls below this value, the detector will switch on the lighting when movement is detected.

3.1 Setting the daylight level

By turning the meter towards the eye (  ) the actual brightness can be set. When this happens, the connected lighting will switch off and the led in the sensor will flash for 22 seconds.
Then both the led in the sensor and the connected lighting will switch on for 4 seconds and then switch off again. The current value has now been stored. If a value below 5 Lux is measured, it will be stored as 5 Lux.
If the measured value exceeds 2000 lux, it will be stored as 2000 lux

NOTE: Do not stand in the vicinity of the sensor when teaching in. This will have a significant influence on the value measurement and lead to errors.

 Time settings

Test: use this button during installation to check that the lighting has been correctly connected
Time: specify the period when the lighting will be switched off following the last detection.
Pulse ( ) : configure the sensor as a pulser (t = 1 sec. then 9 sec. off ).

 Lens mask

Three lens masks are supplied to modify the detection zone. Each lens mask has 3 layers and each layer has 3 sections. Each section blocks 45° of the detection zone.

DIMENSIONS

Guarantee : 24 months after production date provided the product is used as instructed and not opened.
