Product Feature
The new series of Varmilo mechanical keyboards use high-quality mechanical switches and Varmilo’s own EC switches to guarantee stable internal structures and tactility.
Daily Maintenance
To clean a keyboard, pull out the keycaps using a key puller, put the keyboard upside down, pat the back of the keyboard to pour out impurities, and brush off the impurity and dust that are adhered to the keys. if residuals exist, wipe them off using a clean cloth with some alcohol. After that, dry the keyboard in a cool and ventilated place. To avoid loose or fallen USB ports, do not frequently plug. unplug, drag, or bend a keyboard cable, especially for a keyboard with separate cables and keys.
Layout
Notes
- The device must be equipped with or connected to Bluetooth 5.0 and above.
- All operations combined with the Fn key must be executed by holding the Fn key down first, and then pressing the function key; the order of releasing the keys doesn’t matter.
Indicator Light
- Caps Lock indicator light: Lights up for uppercase, lights off for lowercase.
- Esc indicator light: Lights up red during charging, lights up green when charging is finished.
- Light flashes when the battery is running out.
- Bluetooth indicator light: Channel lights of F 1, F2, and F3 flash when waiting for pairing. Lights off after successful pairing.
- 2.4G indicator light: Channel lights flash when waiting for pairing. Lights off after successful pairing
- Press Fn+ right Alt to switch between indicator light and backlight.
- Caps Lock indicator light flashes continuously when entering the macro recording layer.
- Three indicators flash rapidly and continuously during the macro recording process.
- Three indicator lights flash continuously when entering the light effect macro layer for recording.
Mode Switch (Wired/ Bluetooth/2.4G)
- Switch modes with a three-position switch: Wired – Bluetooth – 2.4G
- In Bluetooth mode, press Fn +F1, F2, F3 to switch to channel 1, 2 and 3 respectively for Bluetooth device connection.
Bluetooth Connection Instruction
- Switch the three-position switch to Bluetooth mode, and then search for Bluetooth keyboard (Varmilo VS-1/2/3) in your device. The advertising interval is 5 minutes.
- The first time of pairing requires password. Then press Enter to confirm the connection. After the successful pairing, F1 will light up and the Bluetooth device will be saved.
Bluetooth Reconnection Instruction
- Press and hold down Fn + F1/F2/F3(for Channel 1, 2, and 3 respectively) for 5s to disconnect the current Bluetooth device. The corresponding indicator light will flash and the keyboard will swap to the pair mode and could be connected to new devices
2.4G Connection Instruction
- Switch the three-position switch to 2.4G mode, and press and hold down FN+F4 for 5s to connect the 2.4G receiver. In the paring process, the F4 indicator light flashes rapidly. When connected, F4 will light up.
- In 2.4G mode, F4 flashes slowly when the keyboard fails to match the receiver.
- Note: The original receiver is paired at the factory setting, no further operation is required.
Turn off the Keyboard
- Switch the three-position switch to wired mode. Plug out the USB cable and the keyboard will turn off.
Light custom setting instruction
- Fn + right Alt+ Q/W/E/R: Switch to the corresponding custom light effect layer, and custom light effect is available in each layer.
- Fn+ Caps Lock: Hold down for 3s to enter the custom light effect mode.(Caps Lock indicator light flashes slowly)
- In the custom light effect mode, select and click the key you want to set, and each click leads to a color switch.
- When the light effect setting is completed, press Fn + Caps Lock to save the effect and exit custom light effect mode and return back to the keyboard layer
- Fn+ Caps Lock: Hold down for 3s to save the setting and exit light setting mode.
- Under custom light effect mode, press Fn+Es to delete all light effects and reset.
Lighting effects
- Adjust light effects: press Fn + F5 to switch to the previous light effect or Fn + F6 to the next.
- Adjust light color: Press FN+ – to switch to the next color. Press FN + + back to the last color.
- Adjust light speed: press Fn + + to slow down the light effect or Fn + – to increase it.
- Adjust brightness: press Fn + 1 to increase the brightness of the keyboard backlight gradually or Fn + to decrease it.
- Turn on/off the light: press Fn + X to turn on/off the backlighting.
- Logo backlight brightness: press FN + Alt + to increase brightness, FN + Alt + J to decrease.
Macro definition key combination
- Fn + Q/W/E/R: Enter the corresponding key macro layer.
Specific steps for recording operation:

Press Fn + Q/W/E/R to enter the corresponding key macro layer.

Hold down Fn + Tab for 3s until the Caps Lock flashes and all backlights become green.

The first key pressed is the macro parent key, and when it is pressed the full keyboard backlight turns off. The corresponding backlight of the macro patent key is white, and the backlight of the subsequent pressed macro subkey will flash once. Re-recording is available for the macro parent key.

Press Fn + Tab to save this macro recording data and the backlight of recorded macro patent key will
become red. You can stay on the macro layer and repeat Step 3 to record different macro data. -
Hold down Fn+ Tab for 3s to save the recording data and return back to keyboard layer.
- Key macro layer initialization: Press Fn+Backspace for 3s to initialize the current key macro layer.
- All keys( except Fn and Caps Lock) support macro recording function.
Example for macro definition key combination
- Eg: Press F1 as a macro parent key in the W recordable layer to save URL— www.varmilo.com.
- Press: Fn + W
- Fn+ Tab: Hold down for 3s (Enter recording mode.)
- Press: F1
- Press: www.varmilo.com.
- Fn+ Tabl : Save the macro recording data.
- Fn+ Tab: Hold down for 3s to save the data and exit the macro recording mode.
- Press F1: The PC outputs www.varmilo.com.
Fn Function
Switch between N-key rollover and 6-key rollover
- In wired mode, the keyboard is N-key rollover at the default setting. Press FN+S for 3s until Caps Lock flashes 3 times to swap it into a 6-key rollover.
- In Bluetooth mode, the keyboard is a 6-key rollover at the default setting
Power Saving Mode
- Wired mode: Same with computer status–sleep/wake.
- Bluetooth mode/2.4G mode: The keyboard will enter sleep mode in 30 minutes if no key press is detected. Any press on any key can wake the keyboard.
- Press and hold down Fn + 1 for 3s, Caps Lock indicator will flash for three times. Then the keyboard will enter power saving mode in 5 minutes if no key press is detected. You can press the space bar to wake the keyboard.
- Press and hold down Fn + 2 for 3s, Caps Lock indicator will flash for three times. Then the keyboard will enter power saving mode in 30 minutes if no key press is detected.You can press the space bar to wake the keyboard.
- Press and hold down Fn + 3 for three seconds, Caps Lock indicator will flash for three times. Then the keyboard will not enter power saving mode.
Initialization Operati
- Key initialization: Press Fn+D+Backspace, Caps Lock indicator flash three times, and the keyboard will be reset to original factory setting.
- Light effect initialization: Press Fn+ D, Caps Lock indicator flash three times, and the light effect will be reset to original factory setting.
- Factory Reset: Press and hold down Fn + D for 3s, Caps Lock indicator will flash for three times, and key setting and light effect will be reset to original factory setting.
Other Function
- Fn + Win: Lock and unlock Win
- Fn + Left Ctrl: Hold down for 3s until Caps Lock indicator will flash for three times to swap the function of CapsLock and Left Ctrl.

Attention
