Preface
Varmilo comes from Esperanto ‘Via’ ‘Carmelo’, which means the unique keyboard
customized for you. We were born to meet customers’ personalities and variety
as well as keep good craftsmanship and stable quality. Varmilo is aiming at
beautifying your desk setup with endless improvement and boundless innovation!

Product Feature
The new series of Varmilo mechanical keyboards use high-quality mechanical
switches and Varmilo’s own EC switches to guarantee stable internal structures
and tactility.
Daily Maintenance
To clean a keyboard, pull out the keycaps using a key puller, put the keyboard upside down, pat the back of the keyboard to pour out impurity, and brush off the impurity and dust that are adhered to the keys. If residuals exist, wipe them off using a clean cloth with some alcohol. After that, dry the keyboard in a cool and ventilated place.To avoid a loose or fallen USB port, do not frequently plug,unplug, drag or bend a keyboard cable, especially for a keyboard with separate cable and keys.
Standard accessories list
Bluetooth mode boot
- Press FN+Insert for 3 seconds to turn on the keyboard (If Number key is 1/2/3 flashing, then the keyboard has been turned on)
Device connection
- After switching on the keyboard, you need to search and pair the keyboard on your PC. The keyboard shows as“Varmilo VD-1”(Varmilo VD-2 for Number key 2 Channel and Varmilo VD-3 for Number key 3 Channel)
- The first time for the keyboard to pair with you device needs to enter a code. After you entered the code, you can press the ‘Enter’ key to confirm the connection. If the keyboard is connected successfully with your device, the LED of Number key 1 will keep on and keyboard information is saved. (Number key 2/3 channel would be the same)
- Memory function: If you used to connect with a device successfully, the keyboard will connect with the last device connected directly after turning on. (Bluetooth launch for 5 minutes. If there is no device connection within this period, the keyboard will automatically come to a sleep state)
Bluetooth mode power off
- Under the Bluetooth mode, press the Fn+Insert button for 3 seconds to power off the keyboard .
- If the keyboard hasn’t been turned on, it will be in Wired mode if you connect it with a USB cable and Bluetooth is disconnected.
Bluetooth mode to Wired mode
- Under the state of the Bluetooth mode, press the Fn+Delete key to switch to wired mode, and the LEDs of the Number key 1/2/3 keys will turn off.
Device Swapping
- Press FN+Delete to connect the device’s latest paired, if it hasn’t connected to the device, then it would go to the ‘pair mode’
- You can press FN+Q/W/E to swap to Number key 1/2/3 channel. If the channel have not connected to any device before, then the LED would flash and swap to the ‘pair mode’.
- In underwired mode, if you pull out the USB cable, then the keyboard would swap to wireless mode
automatically and connected to the latest device.
Power saving mode:
- 5 minutes sleep without operation: Press Fn+Z for 3 seconds till CapsLock flash for 3 times.
- 30 minutes sleep without operation: Press Fn+X for 3 seconds till CapsLock flash for 3 times.
- Press Fn+C for 5 seconds till CapsLock flash for 3 times, will keep the keyboard awake.
Keyboard Sleep mode
- Wired mode: The keyboard will turn off if the PC is powered off. If PC is in sleep mode, the keyboard will be in the same mode. Meanwhile, you can wake up the computer by pressing any key of the keyboard.
- Bluetooth mode: The default setting of the keyboard is “not sleep”. The keyboard will not sleep when the PC is on.
The keyboard will be in sleep mode about 5 minutes after turning off the PC.
Re-paired
- Pressing FN+Q/W/E separately,(Q stands for channel 1, W stands for channel 2, W stands for channel 3) for 5 seconds, to disconnect the device you’re connecting, and the corresponding LED on number key 1, 2, 3 will flash. Then the keyboard will be in pairing mode, you can pair with new bluetooth devices.
Low-battery reminder
- When ESC key start flashing, it means you have to charge the keyboard as soon as possible, otherwise it will turn off automatically after 10 minutes.
Charging tips
- The keyboard can be charged by any 5 Voltage power(PC, charger or Powerbank). The LED on the ESC key will keep lighting when charging, and the LED on the ESC key will turn off when fully charged.(The keyboard will be charged automatically under wired mode)
Multi-media functions
- Varmilo mechanical keyboards are featured with rich multi-media functions. To enable a multi-media function, press Fn and the key corresponding to the function.

System Compatibility
- Compatible with Windows 8, Windows 10, and Mac OS under wireless mode（Mac’s own shortcut keys excluded） ( built-in or external Bluetooth 4.0 and above)
Esc Fn Functions
Esc and Fn appear in rich key combinations. To achieve a function, press the corresponding keys according to the following table.

Swap between F row and number row
- The default setting for top row is functioning as a number row.
- You can swap the top row of the keyboard to the number row by pressing FN+Page Up, meanwhile, Page Up LED on, Page Down LED off.
- You can swap the top row of the keyboard to the number row by pressing FN+Page Down, meanwhile\ Page Down LED on, Page Up LED off.
Reset the keyboard
- Press FN+D+Backspace, CapsLock flash for 3 times, the key function will reset.
- Press FN+D for 3 seconds, CapsLock flash for 3 times, all settings for the keyboard will be reset.
Other functions
- Fn+ Right Ctrl: Application Key.
- Fn+Win: Enable/Disable Win key.
- Fn+left Win (more than 3 seconds), CapsLock flashes three times, Fn and left Win key swapped.
- Fn+left Ctrl (more than 3 seconds), CapsLock flashes three times, Capslock and left Ctrl key swapped.
- The keyboard is 6 key rollover under wireless mode. And it’s also 6 key rollovers under wired mode in the default settings, you can press FN+S for 5 seconds till CapsLock flash for 3 times, to swap it to NKRO.
