CANBUS CONNECTION
To ensure proper functionality, it is important to establish a CANBUS
connection between the HL8817 SL R230 DX Radio and your vehicle’s electrical
system. Follow these steps:
- Locate the CANBUS connection port in your vehicle. This is typically found behind the dashboard or near the fuse box
- Connect the supplied CANBUS cable to the CANBUS port on the HL8817 SL R230 DX Radio.
- Connect the other end of the CANBUS cable to the corresponding port in your vehicle’s electrical system
- Ensure that the connection is secure and stable.

Optional Bose Sound System Adaptor
If you have a Bose sound system in your vehicle, you can use the optional
Bose Sound System Adaptor to integrate it with the HL8817 SL R230 DX Radio.
Follow these steps:
- Identify the Bose sound system in your vehicle and locate its audio output port.
- Connect the optional Bose Sound System Adaptor to the audio output port of the Bose sound system
- Connect the other end of the Bose Sound System Adaptor to the corresponding port on the HL8817 SL R230 DX Radio
- Ensure that the connection is secure and stable.
CANBUS CONNECTION
You have 3 options please connect the corresponding CAN – BUS cable correctly. Only one option is correct. For option 3, don’t be confused that the cable is not green.
Optional Bose Sound System Adaptor

At the back of the Driver’s seat locate the AMP, then remove the plug and connect the speaker’s Wires directly to the ISO Speaker connector and plug it directly into the Radio ISO Plug.
