HATCHING – FIRST,TIME – FOLLOW,THIS SEQUENCE IN ORDER!

  1. Locate the Pull Tab and pull it out of the Egg.
    HATCHING

  2. Remove Packaging Lock by gently turning 90 degrees and pulling.
    HATCHING

  3. Peel off tape.
    HATCHING
    Note: Packaging Lock and Pull Tab can be disposed of.

  4. Place Egg on flat table surface and wait!

  5. Listen as your Chick taps and the Egg cracks.

  6. Eventually your Chick will break out of the Egg and begin hopping!

  1. Place it on a flat table or floor and watch it hap around.

PETTING

Your Chick loves to be pet!

  • Gently stroke your Chick’s head and it will tweet for you.
  • Continue petting and your Chick will get happier and eventually tweet a tune!

SLEEPING

Your Chick loves attention!

  • When you leave your Chick alone it will occasionally chirp and tweet to get your attention.
  • Your Chick will fall asleep after 20 minutes, but OFF Co)E you can wake it up at any time by placing it into ON (G:13)) Hatching Stance or switching it OFF then back ON.
  • Then you can start playing all over again!

HATCHING-AGAIN

Your Chick can hatch again!

  1. Ensure Chick is turned on.

  2. Place Egg on flat table surface and open both sides.

  3. Slide Chick’s feet all the way into rails in base of Egg
    HATCHING-AGAIN

  4. Press down on Chick’s head until it locks into Hatching Stance.

  5. Close both sides of Egg and wait!

BATTERIES

BATTERIES INCLUDED.
REPLACEMENT BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED,
works best with fresh batteries.

Replace with 3x AG13/11244 batteries. Alkaline batteries recommended. Cross head screwdriver (not included) needed to replace batteries.
BATTERIES

  • Batteries should be replaced by an adult and inserted observing correct polarity.
  • Always check to ensure the compartment lid is correctly sealed and secured before giving the toy to the child
  • Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
  • Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged.
  • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
  • Remove exhausted batteries from product.
  • The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited
  • Remove battenes from product before long-term storage.
  • Batteries should be recycled or disposed of as per state and local guidelines.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in fire
  • Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed.

WARNING
This product contains a Button Cell Battery. A swallowed Button or Coin Cell Battery can cause internal chemical burns in as little as two hours and lead to death. Dispose of used batteries immediately. Keep new and used batteries away from children. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body seek immediate medical attention.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Chick’s function does not match instructions

  • Always ensure switch is in ‘ON’ position.
  • Depleted batteries may result in functional inconsistencies. Replace all batteries.
  • Depleted batteries may result in Chick’s functions not working correctly. Replace all batteries.

Chick falls over when hopping

  • Ensure you’re playing with Chick on a flat and level surface.
  • Chick may not work on carpet.

Chick does not tweet when I pet its head

  • Make sure you’re stroking the area directly on top of the Chick’s head.
  • Petting sensor will not work if Chick is in Hatch Stance.

Chick does not stay in Hatch Stance

  • Try to push straight down. If body of Chick tilts forward slightly, it will not lock into position.
  • Hatch sequence is approximately half a minute. After this time Chick will pop out of Hatch Stance.

Can’t close Egg

  • Correctly place Chick’s feet into rails in base of Egg.
  • Press Chick down until it locks into Hatching Stance.
  • Close right half of Egg before left, in order to close it properly.

CLEANING

After repeated play, your Surprise Chick may develop some dirt/marks on its soft surface.

Cleaning Options:

  • Suede/fabric brush – Gently comb affected area.
  • Damp Cloth – Dampen a clean white cloth with a mixture of lukewarm water and mild detergent/shampoo.

IMPORTANT: Ensure cloth is only damp and there’s no residual water. Gently dab the affected areas to clean the surface. Avoid scrubbing, as this could remove the flocking.
