Situation
The 018 fan coils will be redesigned to be like the rest of the product fan
coil family. Starting week 24 of 2023 the 018 fan coils will include a white
wire in the harness between “W” and motor tap 4 which will call for the fan to
operate without a call for “G” from the thermostat. Most thermostats energize
“G” when “W” is energized or can be programmed to function this way.
Technical Information
On units built prior to week 24, 2023; use a thermostat that can be programmed to initiate a “G” call with either “Y” or “W” or add a wire from “W” to the motor tap 4 connection.
Only trained and qualified personnel should design, install, repair and
service HVAC systems and equipment. All national standards and safety codes
must be followed when designing, installing, repairing and servicing HVAC
systems and equipment. It is the responsibility of the Dealer to ensure local
codes, standards, and ordinances are met.
