Preventing the TV from Toppling
- Fix the TV to a stand or a wall.
- Do not let kids play on or climb up on TVs or furniture.
- Don’t hang anything or place anything on the TV.
- Never install the TV on:
- surfaces that are slick, unsteady, or uneven.
- furniture, such a chest of drawers, that is simple to use as steps.
- Install the TV in a location where it cannot be yanked, pushed, or overturned.
- Install the TV such that its Table-Top Stand (not included) does not protrude from the Stand. The TV set could fall and topple over, injuring people or harming the TV if the Table-Top Stand protrudes out from the Stand.
Installation/Set-up
The following guidelines should be followed when installing and using the TV in order to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, property damage, and/or injury.
Before setting up your TV
Some TV models are packaged with a detached Table-Top Stand so you can mount your TV to a wall immediately. See “ Installing the TV to the Wall ” if you want to mount the TV to a wall. If you are not mounting the TV to a wall, you will need to attach the Table-Top Stand (refer to the Setup Guide).
Be sure to consider the following while setting up your TV:
- Disconnect all cables when carrying the TV.
- Before transporting the TV set, remove the stand cover and terminal covers.
- Carry the TV with an adequate number of people; larger size TVs require two or more people.
- Correct hand placement while carrying the TV is very important for safety and to avoid damage.
Using TV as Part of an Audio System
Note
- Disconnect the AC power cords for the TV and AV receiver before connecting the cables.
- For more information, consult the user guide for the audio system with the S-CENTER OUT terminal.
