ASUS TPM-SPI Motherboards
Product Information
The TPM-SPI card (E20464) is a security device that provides Trusted Platform
Module (TPM) functionality. It is designed to enhance the security of the
system by providing secure storage and cryptographic functions. The card is
compatible with the TPM module
and BIOS, sharing the same pin layout. The TPM-SPI card supports features such
as secure boot, secure storage, and hardware-based encryption.
Product Usage Instructions
- Press
<F2>
or<F10>
during system startup to enter the BIOS Setup program. - In the BIOS Setup program, navigate to the Advanced menu.
- Select “Trusted Computing” from the menu.
- In the Trusted Computing settings, set the “Security Device Support” and “TPM State” items to [Enabled].
- Save the changes and exit the BIOS Setup program.
To clear the TPM security hardware:
- Launch the Trusted Computing BIOS screen by following steps 1-3 in the product usage instructions above.
- In the BIOS screen, set the “Pending operation” item to [TPM Clear].
- Save the changes and exit the BIOS Setup program.

Using the TPM-SPI card
The TPM-SPI card securely stores keys, digital certificates, passwords, and data. It helps enhance network security, protects digital identities, and ensures platform integrity. The TPM-SPI card supports 64-bit Windows® 10 UEFI OS only.
To use the TPM-SPI card
- Insert the TPM-SPI card to the SPI_TPM connector on your motherboard.
- Press
or to enter the BIOS Setup program at the system startup. - From the Advanced menu, click Trusted Computing.
- Set the Security Device Support and TPM State items to [Enabled].
- Press
to save the changes, exit the BIOS Setup program and boot into the OS. Now you can start using the TPM-SPI card with Windows® BitLocker.
NOTE: The TPM module and BIOS share the same pin layout. The NC signal is used for the TPM-SPI, while the BIOS signal is used for the motherboard.
Clearing from the OS
To clear from the OS:
- In the Windows® Search box, key in and press
. The TPM Management screen appears. - Under Actions, click Clear TPM…
- Click Restart to restart your computer.
