Ceiling Fan Installation Instructions

IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER

1. Read and save these instructions.
2. Please note that a qualified electrician should install all fixed wiring appliances.
3. Disconnect the fan from the power source at the wall switch before working on the remote control receiver or ceiling fan.
4. Refer to all safety instructions that are provided with your fan.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Disassemble the fan housing to expose the old receiver. Refer to ceiling fan instructions for this.

2. Unplug the old receiver and dispose of it.

3. Replace the receiver with the new FAN2R receiver. See the image on the right.
   If there are any taps or clips that the old receiver used, you may break them off for the new receiver to fit.

4. Take note of the pattern of the DIP SWITCH panel.

5. Install housing back according to instructions in the ceiling fan manual.

SETTING THE CODES

Setting the codes on the remote control

1. Remove the battery cover. Press firmly on the arrow and slide the battery cover off.
2. Adjust the switches by sliding them up or down to your choice of position. The factory setting is all up, and we recommend using a different combination.

Setting the codes on the receiver

1. Make sure to match the switch’s pattern on the receiver by aligning the switches to the same position on your remote control.

INSTALLING BATTERY

1. Remove the battery cover. Press firmly on the arrow and slide the battery cover off.
2. Plug in the 9-Volt battery by pressing the positive and negative terminals to the matching terminals of the battery wire inside the transmitter. See the image to the right.
