Battery

This remote requires one 12-volt battery to be installed. Sold separately. Please make sure polarities match according to the diagram located inside the battery compartment (Fig. 2).

Pairing Instructions

  1. Turn the power to the fan off either by a wall switch or circuit breaker.
  2. Return power to the fan and within 30 seconds,
  3. Press the LEARN key (Fig. 2, 7), located inside the battery compartment. The indicator light will flash. If paired successfully, the fan will turn on at low speed and the light will be off.

Product functions (See Fig. 1 & 2)

  • Keys: (1), (2), (3). When pressed, these keys adjust the fan’s speed.

  • Key: (4). When pressed, this key turns off the fan’s motor.
    • Press and hold for 5 seconds to enter Light Delay Off mode.

  • Key (5): Press and release immediately to turn on/off the light; Press and hold to cycle light dimming.

  • Toggle switch D/CFL (6): Slide the switch according to the light bulb(s) installed.

  • D – Set the light for use with incandescent bulbs; allows light on, off, and dimming functionality.

  • CFL – Set the light for use with compact fluorescent bulb(s) (CFL); allows only light on and off functionality.

ATTENTION: Must not use with un-dimmable loading (CFL) when the transmitter is in D (incandescent dimming) mode. It will shorten DFL’s working life substantially and may damage the controller.
CAUTION: The battery will weaken with age and should be replaced before leaking takes place as this will damage the transmitter. Dispose of the used battery properly. Keep the battery out of reach of children.

Installing the wall mount bracket

  • For transmitter placement, locate the wall bracket in a convenient location. Use two screws to install a wall bracket on the wall. Then hang the transmitter in it carefully; aligning the tab from the wall mount bracket to be inserted into the slot on the back of the remote (See Fig 3.).
