Product Information
- The MECO TTR8100 is a portable Transformer Turns Ratio Meter. It is designed to accurately measure the turns ratio, excitation voltage, current, phase angle, and deviation of 1-Phase and 3-Phase Transformer VT/CT. The TTR8100 ensures the correct turn ratio and quality of the transformer. It also checks for live test points, short circuit, open circuit, and reverse polarity before each measurement.
- The TTR8100 features a graphical and literal illustration of measurements and connections on a large backlit dot matrix LCD display. It displays turns ratio, deviation, secondary output, excitation voltage and current, phase angle, and nameplate transformer/VT/CT values in one page for easy interpretation. It can store 4096 files of transformer nameplate values and measuring data. The meter offers ten test frequencies (50~400Hz) and nine types of 3-phase winding connections pre-installed. It also supports wireless Bluetooth communication with a PC.
- Other features include the ability to select a filter to remove field noise, record measurements with date and time stamp, a powerful lithium battery with built-in charging circuit, user programmable RCF (Reference Correction Factor) to correct accuracy within 1% error, PC application software included, and a friendly file system for easy on-site data retrieval and nameplate values management.
- The electrical application ratio range for VT/PT is autoranging from 0.8000 to 10000:1 with an accuracy of (%of Reading) 0.8000 to 999.99, 1000.0 to 4999.9, and 5000.0 to 10000. For CT, the ratio range is autoranging from 0.8000 to 2000.0 with an accuracy of (%of Reading) 0.8000 to 2000.0. The excitation signal for VT/PT mode is 34Vrms max, and for CT mode, it is auto level 0 to 1A, 0.1 to 20Vrms. The meter supports excitation current display in the range of 0 to 1000mA and excitation frequencies from 50Hz to 400Hz. The TTR8100 comes with a 5 large dot matrix LCD display (240×128) with backlight for easy viewing. It is powered by a rechargeable lithium battery with a capacity of 3400mAh, providing over 10 hours of continuous operation. The battery life isindicated as a percentage. The meter includes a universal input battery charger with a charging time.

Product Usage Instructions
- Before each measurement, ensure that the test points are live and check for short circuit, open circuit, and reverse polarity.
- Turn on the TTR8100 by pressing the power button.
- Connect the TTR8100 to the transformer using the appropriate cables and connectors.
- Select the desired test frequency using the frequency selection buttons.
- Ensure that the filter setting is appropriate for the measurement (slow, normal, or fast) to remove field noise.
- Press the measurement button to start the measurement process.
- Wait for the measurement to complete and observe the results on the LCD display.
- If desired, record the measurement with date and time stamp for future reference.
- If necessary, correct the accuracy of the measurement using the user programmable RCF.
- To communicate with a PC, enable the Bluetooth function on the TTR8100 and establish a connection with the PC.
- For data retrieval and nameplate values management, use the included PC application software.
- To recharge the battery, connect the universal input battery charger to the TTR8100 and wait for the charging process to complete.
