Product Usage Instructions
Option 1: Standalone Camera Setup
- Download Night Owl Protect app if you are a first-time user.
- Create an account or log in with your existing credentials.
- In the app, tap on “Add New” or “+” to start the setup process.
Option 2: Add-on Camera Setup
- Ensure your wired recorder is added to your Night Owl Protect account.
- Power on the new Wi-Fi IP camera using the provided adapter.
- Log in to the Night Owl Protect App on your smart device.
- Select “Add New” or “+” and follow the on-screen instructions.
Additional Setup Steps for Option 2 (if needed)
- Power on the new Wi-Fi IP camera.
- Login to the Night Owl Protect App.
- Select your existing Wi-Fi recorder.
- Add the new Wi-Fi IP camera by tapping “Add New” or “+”.
- Follow the on-screen steps to pair the new camera.

Quick Setup Guide
Wi-Fi IP Camera
STOP: Only install a camera in its final location AFTER it’s paired and setup is complete.
Flexible Setup Options:
- Option 1:
Standalone Camera – Connecting to your Wi-Fi Network:
- First Time User? Download Night Owl Protect. Create an account and log in with your username and password. Already have an account? Log in with your username and password!
- Tap “Add New” or “+” and the app will guide you through the setup process.
Option 2:
Add on Camera – Connecting to your Night Owl Recorder: 2a Wired Bluetooth®
Recorder:
IMPORTANT – To add a Wi-Fi IP camera to your wired recorder both devices
must be connected to the same Internet (Local Area Network).
- Ensure your wired recorder has been added to your Night Owl Protect account.
- Power on your new Wi-Fi IP camera using the provided power adapter.
- Log in to the Night Owl Protect App from your Smart Device.
- Tap on “Add New” or “+” and follow the simple on-screen steps. NOTE: Scan the QR Code for more information on compatibility and detailed setup steps.

2b Wi-Fi Bluetooth® Recorder
- Power on your new Wi-Fi IP camera using the provided power adapter.
- Log in to the Night Owl Protect App from your Smart Device.
- Tap on your existing Wi-Fi recorder.
- Tap on “Add New” or “+” to add your new Wi-Fi IP camera.
- Follow the on-screen steps to pair your new Wi-Fi IP camera.
NOTE: The camera can also be set up without the app by logging into your
Wi-Fi recorder. Scan the QR Code for more information on compatibility and
detailed setup steps for both methods. Opti Scan for
Product images may vary slightly based on your model, but the setup steps will
be the same.
