G4M CP C6 Modular Column PA System

Warnings

WARNING!
Do not open cover. No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
Do not place the product in a location near a heat source such as a radiator, or in an area subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust, mechanical vibration or shock.
The product must not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the product.
No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the product.
Allow adequate air circulation and avoid obstructing vents (if present) to prevent internal heat build-up. The ventillation must not be impeded by covering the appliance with items such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains etc.
The mains plug is used to disconnect the appliance from the mains supply. Ensure that the mains outlet is easily-accessible and remove the plug from the mains outlet if you notice any abnormality with the appliance.

Overview CP-3110/210

G4M CP C6 Modular Column PA System - Overview CP-S110/S210

  1. DSP SELECTION
    Use this button to switch between the three DSP Presets designed for small, medium and large sized systems. (See configuration section, pages 6-10).

  2. COMBI INPUT
    A balanced XLR/6.35mm combi mono line input.

  3. LINK OUTPUT
    Balanced XLR full range output to send your signal on to a second speaker.

  4. GAIN
    The Gain button lets you select between -10dB (pressed) and +4dB (depressed). Choose the level that is most appropriate for your input.

  5. LOW FREQ GAIN
    Allows you to adjust the subwoofer gain between -12dB and +6dB.

  6. SUB OUTPUT
    Balanced XLR output, post LOW FREQ GAIN, to send your signal on to a second subwoofer.

  7. POWER/LIMITER LED
    This LED illuminates green when the unit is powered on and red when the in- built limiter is triggered. Lower the input gain if the limiter is triggering often.

  8. IEC POWER INLET AND FUSE HOLDER
    For connecting to a mains power supply using the supplied IEC power cable. A fuse is included within the IEC socket for added protection. If the fuse fails ensure it is replaced with a fuse of the same type and rating.

  9. POWER SWITCH
    Used to turn the system on and off.

  10. SATELLITE OUT
    2-Pole full range Speakon output used to send the signal onwards to satellite speakers.

Configaration 9 Configuration Notes
Only stack subwoofers in a landscape configuration. Do not stack more than two Subwoofers on top of each other. Do not connect more than three CP-C12 Full Columns when hanging from a truss using the Truss Fly Adaptor.

Connecting Column Speaker to a Subwoofer

The CP-C6 and CP-C12 Columns have connectors at each end (1) and (2) to allow easy expansion and building of your PA system.G4M CP C6 Modular Column PA
System - Connection Column Turn the lever to release the protective cover from the [opt]) of the column. The protective cover on the bottom (2) simply slides off, as does the protective cover on the subwoofer.G4M CP C6 Modular Column PA System - Connection Column
1 Rotate the column speaker so that the connection with the lever (1) is facing the subwoofer. Slide in from the front at an angle so that the front connects and then push the column to a vertical position, it will click in to place and lock. Turn the lever again to release the column speaker.G4M CP C6 Modular Column PA System - Connection Column
2 Turn the lever to release the protective cover from the top (1) of the column speaker.G4M CP C6 Modular Column PA
System - Connection Column 3 Rotate the column speaker so that the connection with the lever (1) is facing downwards. Slide in from the front at an angle so that the fronts of the two column speakers connect and then push the column to a vertical position, it will click in to place on top of the existing column speaker and lock. Connect Using the Speaker

Remove the protective cover from the bottom 12) of the column speaker. Remove the protective cover from the subwoofer.G4M CP C6 Modular Column PA System -
Connection Column 5 Insert the CP-P6 pole in to the subwoofer using the threaded end, turn in a clockwise direction to screw it in and secure the pole. Slide the column speaker on to the top of the pole. Use a two-pole speakon cable to connect the subwoofer to the column speaker.G4M CP C6 Modular Column PA System - Connection Column

Flying a Column Speaker

Turn the lever to release the protective cover from the top (1) of the column speaker.G4M CP C6 Modular Column PA System - Connection Column
8 Remove the two M6 screws (3) from the column speaker using an allen key. Connect the CP-ADAPTOR truss adaptor to the column speaker by opening the adaptor, placing it over the two M6 holes and using an allen key to screw in the two supplied screws. G4M CP C6 Modular
