Description

The LKV342 is a 4×4 HDMI matrix Switch that provides a convenient way to route high definition video and audio from any of four HDMI sources to any of four HDMI displays. The LKV342 allows you to connect four HDMI devices (such as an HD camcorder or satellite box, HD-DVD player, hi-def Blu-ray player, PC, stand-alone streaming media player, or gaming console) to four HDMI monitors, displays, projectors or TVs at the same time.

The remote control and convenient front panel pushbuttons allow you to quickly and easily cycle through HDMI sources and displays, while the front panel LEDs indicate the source device for each display at a glance.

How to Use

  1. Using your TV’s remote, go to your input (or source) selection screen.
  2. Change the input from HDMI to TV (likely your cable or antenna connection).
  3. You’ll then be able to use your TV, and you can go back to your input selection to switch back your HDMI input when needed.

Connection

  1. Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI switch’s output port to an HDMI port on your TV. Connect the switch’s power supply to power.
  2. Attach the devices to the HDMI ports on the HDMI switch. You can then use the switcher to change between devices.

Safety Instruction

  • The machine should be placed at a spot far away from the Damp, High-Temperature, Dusty, Erosive, and Oxidant environment.
  • All parts will be free from the strong shake, hit, and fall.
  • Touching the device with wet hands is prohibited.
  • Please turn the power off when the machine is not used for a long time.
  • Please do not open the cover and do not touch the inside parts.
  • Please use the original factory power adaptor.
  • Before powering on, please check the connection cable carefully. And make sure that all interfaces are normally connected.

FAQs

What input is played by the analogue audio output? Is it choose able? How, if so?****

Although all of my equipment is fully HDMI audio and video capable, I don’t use HDMI output A.

Can this simultaneously run two independent inputs to two independent outputs?****

There are 2 outputs and 4 inputs. While input C is being routed to output A, input A can be run to output B.

Do you have to explicitly change the source every time, or does this automatically swap to the active sources?****

You have to manually change the source.

Does the 5.1 audio output on HDMI function while the analogue stereo output is active?****

I apologize; I only utilize the HDMI inputs and outputs.

Can I “extend” the screens together if I have a single input source (a computer) running through both outputs (two different monitors)?****

If you intend to extend the same image to both displays, I don’t see why you couldn’t. My TVs and mine both utilise it. Two DVRs and two distinct streaming devices are connected to my input. I can simultaneously send a separate device to each TV or the same device to both TVs. I’ve never used a computer to use this. I don’t see why you would want a switch with 2 inputs and 4 outputs, even if I believe this would work for you. I would search for a better switching mechanism.

Is it possible to play input 1 on output 1’s display and input 2 on output 2 at the same time, or do both outputs play the same input?****

I don’t have this specific switch, but a matrix switch may send several outputs to connected monitors, therefore the first part of your query can be answered in the affirmative.

What is a matrix switch used for?****

Any input can be switched at any time to any output, including multiple outputs, using matrix switchers. A matrix switcher can send Display Port, HDMI, DVI, 3G-SDI, HD component, S-video, or composite video signals, together with or without stereo audio, depending on the type.

What is HDMI Matrix mode?****

Multiple HDMI devices can be connected to numerous monitors, televisions, etc. For a home audio-visual arrangement, having an HDMI multiplex would allow for the connection of many source devices to various screens.

Does an HDMI switch need power?****

Some HDMI switches do not require power. A passive switcher without power will function properly if the source device’s output HDMI signal is robust and the cable run isn’t too long.

What is a matrix device?****

The phrase “matrix device” generally refers to a drug delivery system in which the drug is disseminated inside a polymer network, either as solid drug particles or as molecularly. At least four different sorts of devices can be imagined in this scenario.

What is the difference between an HDMI splitter and switch?****

In brief, an HDMI switch accepts several sources and enables you to select (switch) between them while connecting just one cable to your TV. We’ll go into more depth later. As you’ve probably already guessed, a splitter divides a single signal among several HDMI wires.

Can I use an HDMI switch as a splitter?****

An HDMI splitter is not one of the tools available to combat this. Using an HDMI splitter backwards is not possible. Use an HDMI switch, you must. Multiple HDMI inputs can be connected to one device using HDMI switches.

Does a HDMI switch reduce quality?****

Even with the addition of a switcher, HDMI is a digital transmission and won’t deteriorate in the same manner as earlier analogue connections. If you notice a significant decline in signal quality, the cause could be a faulty signal coming from your switcher or a broken cable.

Why is my HDMI switch not working?****

Take care to thoroughly re-insert each HDMI cable after carefully unplugging it. Attempt various HDMI cables. Make sure to use the shortest cords feasible if your switch is passive. A passive switch might not function with your gadgets.

Do I need an HDMI switch or splitter for dual monitors?****

When you require additional displays, such as two monitors for your laptop or PC, you frequently utilise a splitter. An electronic component called an HDMI switch enables you to simultaneously connect several HDMI-capable devices to one output device.
