Product Information
The Caliber 42 is a direct vent gas fireplace with a Caliber 42 caliber. It has actual dimensions of 48-1/16″ (front width) x 42-7/8″ (height) x 21-7/16″ (depth). The glass size is 41-1/4″ x 26-11/16″. It has a BTU/hour input of 19,000 – 35,000 BTUs (NG) or 17,000 – 34,000 BTUs (LP). The weight of the fireplace is 194 lbs (88 kgs).
Product Usage Instructions
To install the Caliber 42 gas fireplace, follow these steps
- Scan the QR code provided to access the installation manual for final dimensions and requirements.
- Adjust the framing dimensions according to your interior chase sheathing, such as sheetrock.
- Refer to the installation manual for additional venting scenarios.
- For basic corner installation, follow the instructions provided in the installation manual.
- Ensure that the minimum combustible mantel projections and non-combustible mantel projections are followed. Refer to the measurements provided in the user manual.
- If using heat management systems, refer to the fireplace installation manual for framing guidelines and reduced mantel clearances.
- For exterior chase installations, make sure to meet the minimum height requirements and follow the wall penetration guidelines. Do not pack the vent framing hole with insulation or other materials.

EXTERIOR CHASE MINIMUM HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS WALL PENETRATION
NOTE: If overhang (A) is less than 2 inches, clearance from top of termination cap to bottom of overhang (B) may be 0 inches.
- A – Measured from back of vent cap to end of overhang
- B – Measured from bottom of overhang to top of termination cap
- Vinyl Siding Shield (TRAP-VSS) Information TRAP-VSS required if overhang (A) is greater than 3 inches but less than 5 inches and B dimension is less than 18 inches.
- TRAP-VSS recommended if either of the below is true:
- Overhang (A) is less than 5 inches (to combat water infiltration)
- A vinyl overhang is present
WALL PENETRATION
DO NOT PACK VENT FRAMING HOLE WITH INSULATION OR OTHER MATERIAL
- Shows center of vent framing hole for top or rear venting. The center of the hole is one (1) in. (25 mm) above the center of the horizontal vent pipe.
