PRECAUTIONS

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING Please keep this manual in a safe and handy place for future reference.
Always follow the basic precautions listed below to avoid the possibility of serious injury or even death from electrical shock, short-circuiting, damages, fire or other hazards. These precautions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Power Supply/AC Power Adaptor

  • Do not place the power cord near heat sources such as heaters or radiators. Also, do not excessively bend or otherwise damage the word, or place heavy objects on it.
  • Only use the voltage specified as correct for the instrument. The required voltage is printed on the name plate of the instrument.
  • Use the specified adaptor (page 20) only. Using the wrong adaptor can result in damage to the instrument or overheating.
  • Check the electric plug periodically and remove any dirt or dust which may have accumulated on it.

Do Not Open

  • This instrument contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not open the instrument or attempt to disassemble or modify the internal components in any way. If it should appear to be malfunctioning, stop use immediately and have it inspected by qualified service personnel.

Handling Caution

  • Do not insert a finger or hand in any gaps on the instrument.
  • Never insert or drop paper, metallic, or other objects in to the gaps on the panel or keyboard. This could cause physical injury to you or others, damage to the instrument or other property, or operational failure.
  • Do not rest your weight on, or place heavy objects on the instrument, and do not use excessive force on the buttons, switches or connectors.
  • Do not use the instrument/device or headphones for a long period of time at a high or uncomfortable volume level, as this can cause permanent damage to your hearing.

Water / Fire Warning

  • Do not expose the instrument to rain, use it near water or in damp or wet conditions, don’t place on it any containers (such as vases, bottles or glasses) containing liquids which might spill into any openings. If any liquid such as water seeps into the instrument, turn off the power immediately and unplug the power cord from the AC outlet. Then have the instrument inspected by qualified service personnel.
  • Never insert or remove an electric plug with wet hands.
  • Do not put burning items, such as candles, on the unit. A burning item may fall over and cause a fire.

Location / Placement

  • Do not place the instrument in an unstable position where it might accidentally fall over.
  • Before moving the instrument, remove all connected cables, to prevent damage to the cables or injury to anyone who might trip over them.
  • When setting up the product, make sure that the AC outlet you are using is easily accessible. If some trouble or malfunction occurs, immediately turn off the power switch and disconnect the plug from the outlet. Even when the power switch is turned off, electricity is still running to the product at the minimum level. When you are not using the product for a long time, make sure to unplug the power cord from the AC outlet.
  • Use only the stand designed for the instrument. When attaching the stand or rack, use the provided screws only.
  • Failure to do so could cause damage to the internal components or result in the instrument falling over.

Always turn the power off when the instrument is not in use. Even when the [ ] (Standby/On) switch is in standby status (power lamp is off), electricity is still flowing to the instrument at the minimum level. When you are not using the instrument for a long time, make sure you unplug the power cord from the wall AC outlet.

PIANO ASSEMBLY

  • Be careful not to confuse any of the parts, and be sure to install all parts in the correct direction. Please assemble according to the sequence given below.
  • Use only the original screws when assembling the stand. Use of any other screws may result in an inadequate assembly that may cause damage to both the keyboard stand and the pedal unit.
  • Always use the pedal unit properly installed on the specified keyboard stand. Also make sure to unplug the pedal cord when putting the instrument on a desk or table, since leaving it connected can damage the pedal unit.
  • Protect the floor by placing a mat or a rug underneath the pedals. The pedals may damage the floor after an extended period of time.
  • Make sure the stand is sturdy and safe, and all screws have been tight and firm before use. If not, the stand may overturn, the keyboard may drop, or may result in injury to the user.

  1. Attach the side board A with B with four long screws.
  2. Important: The bottom screw must level to floor, before Play
  3. Attach the side board A with C with five screws.
  4. Attach the side board A with C with five screws.
  5. Connect the pedal cable to piano (Position: Bottom of the piano)

OPERATION

POWER ON/OFF

  1. Connect the power adaptor to the DC IN jack.
  2. Plug the power adaptor into an AC outlet.
  3. Flip the switch to turn on the power.
    The LED display lights up. To turn off the power, flip this switch again.
    Att: Piano will be turned off when without playing after one hour

VOLUME CONTROL
When you start playing, use the [MASTER VOLUME] slider to adjust the volume of the entire keyboard sound.

VOICE SELECTION

  • To Select A Voice: Hold and press the [Function] button, light on, then press any white key from A1 to A2which with eight voices for direct selection. (Bulit in 300 voices details you can refer to Page 9-10).CARLSBRO-CDP100-Digital-Piano-fig-3
  • To select other voice you can hold and press the [Function] button, light on, then press key B2 ( B2 for -) or key C2(C2 for +), Voices list you can refer to Page 9-10.

TOUCH
This Digital Piano has 3 different touch presets. To adjust the key touch to your preference press and hold the [FUNCTION] button and press the [TOUCH] key E3,3 to select the touch u prefer.CARLSBRO-CDP100-Digital-Piano-

TRANSPOSE
This Digital Piano has built in Transpose function with the adjustable range- 12—-+12. You can adjust the level by Holding the [FUNCTION] Then press the key of A4, G3 to go up or down the range.

TUNE
This Digital Piano has built in Tune function with the adjustable range-50—-+50. You can adjust the level by Holding the [FUNCTION] Then press the key of C4or B4 to go up or down the range.

RHYTHM
This Digital Piano has built in100 different type of Rhythm for selection, You can select the rhythm by Holding [FUNCTION],and press any keys between D2 to D3, after selected then press [Play/Stop] to play the rhythm. If you want to make you playing more interestingly. You can select the function of Chord, Fill in. Intro/Ending on the panel.

METRONOME
This Digital Piano has built in METRONOME function with the BEATS: 1/4,2/4,3/4,4/4 You can adjust the BEAT by Holding the [METRONOME/RHYTHM] Then press the key of B6 to E6, after selected, then press [Play/Stop] to play the metronome.

TEMPO

REVERB
This Digital Piano has built in REVERB function. you can Turn on the Reverb by Holding [FUNCTION] then press key of C8 to turn on the reverb, press B8 to turn off the reverb.

CHORUS

DEMO
This Digital Piano has built in DEMO function. If you want turn on the function by Holding [FUNCTION] and press B7 to turn on the function and A7 to turn off the function. You can switch to next DEMO by Holding [FUNCTION] and key of B2,C2.

RECORD/PALY

USING THE 3 PEDAL UNIT (optional)
This Digital Piano has ports to plug in the 3 pedal unit LP-65. After assembling the 3 pedal unit LP-65, plug the pedal connector jack into the [PEDAL UNIT] socket at the bottom of the piano.

Damper(Right)pedal
The damper pedal function in the same way was a damper pedal on an acoustic piano. When the damper pedal is stomped, notes sustain longer. Releasing the pedal immediately stops(damps)any sustained notes.
Sostenuto (center)pedal
If you play a note or chord on the keyboard and stomp the sostenuto pedal while the note(s)are hold those notes will sustain as long as you hold the pedal, but all subsquently played notes will not be dudtsined.
Soft (Left)pedal
The soft pedal reduces the volume and slightly stomped changes the timbre of notes played while the pedal is pressed. The soft pedal will not affect notes that are already playing when it is stomped.

USB MIDI INTERFACE

Many digital musical instruments support the MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface). With this technology, the instrument can transmitt/receive the MIDI data with a PC, including keyboard performance information and Song playback data. When connecting the computer to the USB TO HOST terminal, make sure to observe the following points. Failing to do so risks freezing the computer and corrupting or losing the data. If the computer or the instrument freezes, restart the application software or the computer OS, or restart instrument.
NOTICE

  • Use an AB type USB cable of less than 3 meters. USB 3.0 cables cannot be used.
  • Before connecting the computer to the USB TO HOST terminal, exit from any power-saving mode of the computer (such as suspend, sleep, standby).
  • Before turning on the power to the instrument, connect the computer to the USB TO HOST terminal.
  • While the computer is connected to the instrument, you should wait for six seconds or more between these operations: (1) when the instrument restartor (2) when alternately plug on/off the USB cable.

The USB-Midi Interface on this digital piano can be used for:

  • Playing Back Songs on a Computer via the Instrument /speaker: With the use of MIDI file playback software on your computer, you can play back Songs (MIDI files) via the connected instrument/speaker. For detailed instructions, refer to the manual of your particular MIDI file playback software.
  • Recording Your Keyboard Performance to a Computer: By using Music Production software on the computer, you can record your keyboard performance as MIDI data. For detailed instructions, refer to the manual of the application.
