unattended. Only use the device as described in the manual, otherwise you run
the risk of an electric shock. Children should only use the device under adult
su-pervision. Keep packaging material, like plastic bags and rubber bands, out
of the reach of children, as they pose a choking hazard. Keep batteries out of
the reach of children. Make sure you insert the batteries correctly. Empty or
dam-aged batteries could cause burns if they come into contact with the skin.
If necessary, wear adequate gloves for protection.

Do not disassemble the device. In the event of a de-fect, please contact your
dealer. The dealer will con-tact the Service Centre and can send the device in

FIRST OPERATION OF THE THERMO-HYGROMETER
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the Thermo-Hygrometer.
- Set the desired channel with the switch (C). If you are using only one transmitter, please leave the selection at „1“.
- Insert 2 new UM-3 or „AA“ 1.5V batteries observ-ing correct polarity.
- Use a pin to press the „RESET“ – button located in the battery compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover and set the unit in the desired location.
PLACEMENT TIPS:
Please observe the following guidelines to ensure optimal operation of the
device:
- Assign each remote unit to it’s own channel.
- Place the receiver unit (Weather station) and remote unit (thermo-hygro sensor) within 1 meter to each other and enable the manual search for available signals of all remote units on the main unit (Weather station, not included) Do this by pressing the [▼] button on the back side of your weather station. Wait until the measured value appears on the display.
- Next, set the remote unit at a place where air circulation and sun protection is guaranteed. Please select a rainfall-free, shady place for measurement. The international standard height for temperature measurements is 1.25 m (4 ft) above the ground.
- When batteries are nearing depletion, the symbol [ ] is displayed on the sensor and weather station.
Note that the effective range is vastly affected by the construction material of nearby buildings as well as the position of the remote unit and possibly greatly reduced by external sources (various radio stations and other sources of interference). If no reception is possible, we recommend to try different locations for the weather station (not included) and remote unit. Sometimes all it takes is moving the device by a few inches!
