Product Information

The Industrial Gigabit PoE++ Extender (Model 508957, IPIE-80G) is a device that allows you to extend the range of your powered source device and transmit power and data to another device. It is designed to be used with Cat5e/6 Ethernet cables and is compliant with IEEE 802.3bt/at/af standards. The extender can deliver power up to 80W and has LED indicators to show the power status and port connection.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Wire the grounding terminal to an earth grounding object to protect equipment from external electrical surges.
  2. Plug a Cat5e/6 Ethernet cable, up to 100m (330ft) long, from your powered source device (eg, PoE injector or switch) into the PoE IN connector on the extender.
  3. Plug a second Cat5e/6 Ethernet cable, also up to 100m (330ft) long, from the device you want to transmit power and data to (eg, PoE network camera) into the PoE OUT connector on the extender.
  4. The LEDs on the extender indicate the power status and port connection. The PWR LED indicates that the extender is powered on, the LINK LED indicates a valid port connection, and the PoE LED indicates that the extender is delivering power.
