Product Information

The NOVA 4 CONNECT is a light control app that features a built-in power bank with a USB outlet for charging mobile devices.
It has a high-efficiency COB LED that provides 160 lm/W and can deliver up to 4000 lm of light at 100% power. The lamp has a power output of 30W and a backup time of 2.5 hours at 400 lm. It is compatible with METABO / CAS battery system 12V 4.0 Ah – 18V 5.2 Ah and can also be used with 15 other 18V battery packs by using the SCANGRIP CONNECTOR. The lamp has an IK07 impact resistance rating and is IP65 rated when used with a Scangrip power supply. It measures 263x230x119 mm and weighs 2.36 kg.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. To use the lamp, first, add the connector matching your battery pack.
  2. To turn the lamp on or off, press the A button.
  3. To increase the brightness, press the B button.
  4. To decrease the brightness, press the C button.
  5. When changing the brightness level, the new value will be saved, and the lamp will start at that level the next time it is turned on.
  6. To enable or disable Bluetooth, press the D button.
  7. The lamp has integrated Bluetooth light control, which allows you to turn the lamp on/off, adjust the lamp output, connect up to 4 lamps together, and assign a pin code to prevent other users from controlling the lamp.
  8. The lamp is compliant with iOS 10.3 or higher and Android 5.0 or higher. You can download the app from the iTunes App Store, Google Play, or the SCANGRIP website.
  9. The lamp has different IP ratings depending on its use:
    • IP65 when used with a Scangrip power supply.
    • IP54 when the battery cover is mounted and closed.
    • IP30 when the battery cover is removed and using an external battery.
  10. The lamp is designed to be used with Metabo CAS batteries. It is also compatible with 3rd party 18V batteries by using the SCANGRIP CONNECT system. It accepts battery voltages of 12V and 18V.
  11. If using a Scangrip power supply instead of a battery, the battery cover must be removed.

  13. Avoid looking directly into the beam of light to prevent dazzling.
  14. Do not use the lamp near a naked flame.
  15. Protect the mains cable from oil, heat, and sharp edges.
  16. The internal backup battery must be replaced with an original SCANGRIP battery.
  17. Do not leave the battery flat, as this could render it incapable of being charged again.
  18. The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable; when the light source reaches its end of life, the whole luminaire shall be replaced.
  19. The luminaire is only suitable for direct mounting on non-combustible surfaces.
  20. If the lamp is disconnected from the mains and the battery is discharged, push the power button to enable the internal backup battery. The 10% LED will blink to indicate the backup mode.
  21. To delete the pin code, turn on the Bluetooth function and press the Bluetooth button for 10 seconds. The pin code will be reset.

WARNING:

  • Always respect applicable legislation for working with electrical equipment in order to reduce the risk of accidents.
  • Avoid looking directly into the beam of light, as this will result in dazzling.
  • Do not use the lamp near a naked flame.
  • Protect the mains cable from oil, heat and sharp edges.
  • Internal backup battery must be replaced with an original SCANGRIP battery.
  •  Do not leave the battery flat, as this could render it INCAPABLE of being charged again.
  • The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable; when the light source reaches its end of life the whole luminaire shall be replaced.

THE PROCESS TO DELETE THE PIN CODE IS:

  •  Turn on the Bluetooth function.

  • Press the Bluetooth button for 10 second.

  • The pin code is reset.
    INTEGRATED BLUETOOTH LIGHT CONTROL:

  • Turn lamp on/off or adjust lamp output.

  • Connect, up to 4 lamps together.

  • Assign a pin code to prevent other users from controlling the lamp.
    Compliant with iOS 10.3 or higher and Android 5.0 or higher.
    Go to iTunes App Store, Google Play or download the app from our website.

THE LAMP HAS THREE DIFFERENT IP RATINGS DEPENDING ON THE USE:

  • IP65 when used with a Scangrip power supply.
  • IP54 When the battery cover is mounted and closed.
  • IP30 When the battery cover is removed and using an external battery.

BATTERY COMPLIANCE:

  • The work light is designed to be used with Metabo CAS batteries.
  • The lamp is also compatible with 3rd party 18V batteries by using the SCANGRIP CONNECT system.
  • It will accept the following battery voltages; 12V and 18V.
  • It is possible to use a Scangrip power supply instead of a battery.
  • When using a Scangrip power supply the battery cover must be removed.

USB POWER OUTLET:

  • Built-in USB power outlet to charge mobile devices.
  • Output: 5V, 1A
  • The USB outlet is disabled when the lamp is in backup mode.

Discarded electrical products must not be disposed of together with household waste. Please use recycling facilities. Ask your local authority or retailer for advice on recycling.

  • The battery must be removed from the device before it is broken up
  • The device must be disconnected from the mains when the battery is removed
  • Please dispose of the battery safely.
