  • The Bluetooth remote is located under one of the legs of the tripod.
  • From the inside of the leg, push the remote outward to release it.

FOR FIRST USE, PAIR THE REMOTE WITH YOUR SMARTPHONE

  • Go into phone settings and turn Bluetooth on, make sure it is discoverable.
  • Press and hold the remote button for 1 second.
  • The blue LED on the remote will blink to indicate it is in pairing mode.
  • On your Smartphone you will see “remote control”, select it to pair the devices.
  • Go to camera mode on your Smartphone then press the shutter button on the remote to ensure it is working correctly.

If the remote is not functioning, check and replace the battery

Battery size: coin cell CR2025 3Volt.

  1. Using a coin, turn the battery compartment door countercdockwise to open.
  2. Insert the new battery with the printing face up
  3. Replace and lock the battery door by turning it clockwise

USING THE CAMERA/PHONE MOUNT

  • Open up the tripod and look under the legs for the phone mount.
  • Grab the top and bottom of the mount and pull to release it from the tripod.
  • Attach it to the top of the tripod by screwing the bottom part of the mount into the top of the tripod.
  • Open both top and bottom panels of the mount by pulling upward, get enough space to insert your phone sideways into the mount.digipower-FC-012-Essential-Video-Blogging-Kit-FIG-3

TO USE AN ACTION CAMERA

  • Connect the phone mount to the top of the tripod head.
  • Use the screw to tighten the action
  • camera to the mount by inserting the screw through the mount.

USING THE MICROPHONE WITH A CAMERA

  • Mount the microphone on top of the camera using the microphone’s cold shoe, found underneath the
  • microphone. Slide it into the top shoe of the camera.
  • Rotate the knob until the microphone fits securely on the camera.
  • Move the microphone’s switch to the “camera” setting, the red light indicator will turn on.
  • Connect the microphone’s plug into the camera’s 3.5mm audio jack.
  • The microphone should now be working with your camera.

USING THE MICROPHONE WITH THE PHONE

  • Make sure the microphone’s switch is in the “phone” position.
  • For an iPhone 7 or newer, you will first need to connect a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter to your iPhone (this adapter is not included).
  • For an Android phone with a USB-C port and no 3.5mm jack, you will first need to connect a USB-C to a 3.5mm adapter to your phone (this adapter is not included)
  • Connect the microphone’s 3.5mm plug to the jack on the lightning or USB-C adapter.
  • For other models of Smartphones, connect the microphones 3.5mm and plug them directly into the jack on the phone
  • The microphone should now work with your phone

Note: If you hear interference on your recording, it means the lightning to 3.5mm adapter is not connected properly to your iPhone. You may need to remove the case from your iPhone to make better contact between the phone and the microphone.

CHARGING THE LIGHT

  • Fully charge the light before first use.
  • Connect the included micro USB cable from the light to a USB charger (not included).
  • Let charge until the blue blinking power indicator light stays on, charge time approximately 2 hours.

Using the light

  • Connect the light to a standard tripod or to a camera shoe.
  • Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn the light on.
  • To increase the brightness to medium, quickly press the power button.
  • To increase the brightness to high, quickly press the power button again.
  • Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn the light off.
  • When the internal battery power is low the blue indicator LED will blink rapidly, in 4 minutes the light will power off and needs to be recharged.

USING THE DIFFUSER FILTERS

  • This kit features 3 color diffusers to get different lighting effects.
  • Insert the tabs on the bottom of the diffusers into the slots on the bottom of the light.
  • Clip the diffuser to the top of the light.
