SNUB-NOSE INTRODUCTION

WARNINGS

1. Clean, wash and sanitise the tank at ambient temperatures. Do not clean, wash and sanitise the tank at temperatures above 50°C (122°F).
2. Do not apply more than 2.4bar (35PSI) to the tank under any circumstance.
3. NEVER connect to an unregulated pressure source.
4. If you connect an external pressure source; ensure it has an independent pressure release valve (PRV) pre-set to below 2.4Bar (35psi).
5. Use only the RED pressure release valve supplied by MCH Australia Pty Ltd on the pressure lid.
6. Do not tamper with the pressure relief valve.
7. Do not use the tank under pressure if it has been physically damaged i.e. dropped on the ground.
8. Do not expose to temperatures below -2°C (28.5°F).
9. Keep the tank out of direct sunlight and other sources of UV radiation.
10. The tank is pressure tested at production and is marked with a date for retesting. If it is being used under pressure then a hydrostatic test must be conducted every 24 months to ensure that it is safe for reuse. Replacement tanks are available through Keg  King and our authorised distributors.
11. Cleaners must be diluted to suitable concentrations before use.
    If extended contact time is expected, then users must ensure that cleaners are chemically compatible

PRESSURE LID PARTS ASSEMBLY

ASSEMBLY

1. Start by seating the Gen 3 Lid O-ring into the bottom recess around the circumference of the lid
2. Seat the PRV Housing O-ring onto the PRV Housing
3. Seat the PRV Housing into the PRV Port within the lid
4. Seat the PRV into the PRV Housing
5. Place the SS dip tubes with O-ring through the ball lock post ports in the lid
6. Place a Universal Poppet into each ball lock post
7. Tighten down the liquid and gas posts to the threaded ball lock post ports on he lid (it does not matter which side you choose to place the liquid or gas)
8. Slide the top end of the Silicone Dip Tube onto the SS dip tube under the Liquid Ball Lock Post
9. Put the seal into the Thermowell and tighten the Thermowell to the lid
10. Screw on the neck ring to firmly hold down the lid assembly

OPERATION

1. Clean and sanitise all components prior to assembly.
2. Lubricate the silicon dip tube with some no rinse Sanitiser such as Atomic 15 Foaming and slide one end over the stem of the liquid post bulkhead fitting. Slide the other end of the silicon tube over the floating pickup tube.
3. Lubricate the entire silicone Lid Seal with some food grade lubricant
4. Place the Gen 3 lid on the mouth of the Snub Nose and ensure that the seal seats correctly.
5. Place the top thread Neck ring over the lid and tighten firmly.

Graduations Sticker

The graduations sticker has a RED line at the 28 Litres (7.4 Gallons) mark that is designed to line up with the topmost mold line of the main tank. Keep in mind that the tank will expand under pressure which will lead to a slight inaccuracy of these markings. This is normal.

Naturally ferment or dry hop under pressure
Some people believe that fermenting beer under pressure is the best way to go. With an adjustable pressure relief valve (Spunding valve) attached  to the Gas post, you can control the build up of pressure inside your tank. Various advantages exist for fermenting  under controlled pressure and these include:

• Reducing ester production and controlling ester profiles.
• The capacity to ferment at higher temperatures with fewer off flavors.
• Early dry hopping during fermentation to allow oxygen in the hops to be metabolized and retain volatile hop compounds.

Cleaning & Sanitising

Clean, wash and sanitise the tank at temperatures below 50°C (122°F).
Cleaners and sanitizers must be diluted to their recommended concentrations.
Users must ensure that the chemicals are compatible with PET, polyethylene, polypropylene, silicone rubber and stainless steel.

Recommended cleaners include:

• ABC Alkaline Brewery Cleaner (Part code 9006)
• Sodium Percarbonate (Part codes 6172, 6141)
• Sodium Metasilicate (Part code RET4533)
• Atomic 15 Foaming (Part code 9001)
• Atomic 15 Annihilator (Part code 9002)

Storage

Your Keg-King Snub Nose Fermenter King should always be stored clean and dry after use.
Do not stack other items on the stainless steel stand or on top of the fermenter tank.
