- 2x »XE26« neodymium softdome tweeter Ø 26mm

General installation instructions – must be observed!
Radio settings:
To achieve the best sound, all settings on the radio (bass, treble, loudness,
equalizing, etc.) should be set to ZERO or OFF.
Installation Notice:
To avoid vibration noise, secure all cable harnesses with insulating tape or
similar.

Crossover
MHT crossover vehicle-specific Mounted behind the A-pillar trim on the side of
the dashboard cavity.
Center Speaker

Remove screws 1-6 (see fig. A)
-
Lever out the door trim starting from the side and working upwards paying attention to the trim clips
-
Disconnect the factory woofers and remove them from the door panel (see fig. B)
Dismantle factory tweeter, connect and mount mid-tweeter module

Remove the original tweeter cover with a plastic wedge from the front. (see fig. A)

Remove Mercedes tweeter, disconnect original connection cable (see fig. B).

Loosen screw from cover (see fig. C)
-
Unclip cover -> loosen starting from outside (see fig. D)
-
Remove the two cupholder/storage compartment screws located under the disassembled cover (see fig. E & F).
-
Dismantle cupholder/storage compartment -> use wedge and loosen part starting from outside (see fig. G)
Assembly of the crossovers
- Wrap mid-high crossover in damping fleece (see fig. A).

Place crossover (fig. A) in indentation of storage compartment and route tweeter connection through original tweeter hole and connect with cable (see fig. C and D).

Drill a 10 mm hole in the center of the cupholder/storage compartment ->ideally use a step drill.

Feed the midrange and tweeter speaker cables from below through the drilled hole and check the position of the storage compartment. (see fig. E)
Mounting the mid-high modules in the dashboard (only suitable for
vehicles with storage compartment without cover flap)

When the cables have been properly routed through the hole (no excessive tension) insert both screws of the cupholder storage compartment and tighten them (see fig. A/B)

Clip the tweeter cover strips back in place and tighten the screw on the outside (see fig. C).

Mount original HT cover (see fig. D)

Place the mid-high module on the discard tray and connect the tweeter and mid-range driver so that they are short-circuit-proof (see fig. E and F).

Screw down MHT module ->outside: Spax 4x25mm, inside: Spax 4x55mm (see fig. A/A1/A2)

Screw the midrange speaker tight with 2 collar screws 3,9x16mm and 2 collar screws 3,9x 25mm (see fig. B)

check tight fit, finally put on acoustic fabric cover and press firmly (Velcro plate) (see fig. C)

Recommendation: Insulation of the door lining

Line the door panels from behind with Alubutyl. see (fig. A),
-
then glue insulating fleece over the entire surface. see (fig.B)
Preparation of door panels and mounting woofer incl. mounting ring

Remove the original radius (see fig.C) flush with the plastic ring using a multitool or similar.

Position and mount the woofer incl. mounting ring with the factory screws at the factory speaker cutout on the door panel, see (fig.E).

Attach the woofer crossover to the back of the door panel (with glue), make sure that it does not generate vibrations.

Connect the crossover output to the woofer, place the door panel on the body, connect the original woofer cable to the crossover and mount the panel on the door body(see fig E). Connect the original woofer cable to the crossover and mount the panel to the door body. (Attach all screws).
Attenuation of the center speaker in the dashboard

Dismantle original cover (see fig. A)

Lever out loudspeaker (see fig. B)
-
Disconnect the purple-white marked cable, insert the cable switch (fig. C) and reconnect the loudspeaker (see fig. D).

finally reinsert loudspeaker and clip in cover
Warranty
As the manufacturer, we warrant these sound systems for 2 years from the date of purchase from the dealer. Within this warranty period, we will, at our option, repair or replace free of charge all defects that are due to material or manufacturing faults. Excluded from the warranty are damages caused by improper use or installation, wear and tear or interventions by third parties. The warranty does not cover consequential damage or defects that only insignificantly impair the value or usability of the sound systems. A warranty obligation is not triggered in the case of damage caused by external influences. Systems with additional or incorrect mounting holes are excluded from exchange. These are damages to the components that cannot be repaired.
