- Do not use corrosive chemicals or liquids to clean the body parts. Use of some cleaning agents such as gasoline, ammonia, etc. cause damage to plastic parts.
- When servicing a power tool, use only recommended replacement consumables, attachments, and accessories. Use of non-approved consumables, attachments, and accessories may result in damage to the power tool or personal injury.
Safety Warnings for eccentric (orbital) sander
- Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces cause the sander may contact its own cord. Contact with a “live” wire will make exposed metal parts of the tool “live” and shock the operator.
- Before sanding check the characteristics of the material you are about to sand. Some material contains chemicals which may be toxic. Take caution to prevent working dust inhalation and skin contact.
- Always use an appropriate dust mask/respirator to protect your respiratory tract from the dust of the handled materials. Always use a dust extraction system whenever possible.
- Dust emitted when processing materials containing quartz (SiO2) is harmful to health.
- It is strictly forbidden to work with asbestos-containing materials.
- When sanding wood, always use an extractor or dust collector. Before using the surface grinder for metalworking, be sure to remove the dust bags to prevent sparks from igniting them.
- Always use safety goggles and hearing protection. Noise exposure can cause hearing loss.
- This tool is not waterproof, so do not use water on the surface of the workpiece.

APPLICATION AREA
An eccentric (orbital) sander (further “sander”, “tool”) is a hand tool
equipped with an electric motor, designed for finishing grinding and polishing
surfaces made of wood, metal, stone and other hard materials. With the help of
a textile fastener you can fix a grinding wheel of different grain sizes or a
polishing disc based on felt and other materials on the round plate – main
working unit of the tool. Grinding and polishing is carried out by two types
of simultaneous movements of the plate: (1) orbital rotation (2) rotation
around its axis. The plate has several openings for removal of dust from a
working zone. The tool is equipped with a removable dust collector and can be
connected to a vacuum cleaner. The sander connects to the mains and operates
on 220V voltage; electric wire and a plug are provided.
The sander is intended for operation at an ambient temperature from -10°С to
+40°С, relative air humidity not more than 80% and no direct impact of
precipitation and excessive dust content in the air.
The machine complies with the manufacturer’s specifications
28.24.11-010922-31599443-2022.
This manual contains information and requirements necessary and sufficient for
reliable, efficient and safe operation of the sander.
POWER SUPPLY
Before starting work, make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the characteristics indicated on the stickers on the product case. Do not connect the tool to a power supply greater than 240 V.
WORK AND OPERATION
PREPARATION FOR WORK AND OPERATION
Before starting work please make sure that there are no electrical wiring,
water or gas pipes using a metal detector.
If using an extension cord, make sure it has the correct wire cross-section
and that it is fully untwisted to avoid overheating.
Before connecting to the mains, check:
- serviceability and accuracy of switch trigger;
- reliability of fixing the workpiece;
- integrity and reliable fastening of the grinding disc;
The sander is equipped with electric motor, which is vertically mounted in a
plastic case with a drive. The electric motor’s axis of rotation is located
flatwise to the treated surface. When the engine rotates, the grinding wheel
performs fast rotational and oscillatory movements with an amplitude of 3 mm,
this provides grinding. The work of the sander is carried out using paper or
fabric based abrasive grinding disc fixed on the working plate(3).
The grinder is switched on by pressing the switch trigger (1).
The grinder is switched off by change the switch trigger (1) back.
The optimal speed of rotation and oscillation of the sanding plate is set
using the speed controller (4) located on the handle of the sander.
The machine is equipped with a dust outlet (6), which is designed to collect
and remove processed products by installing a dust bag (5) or connecting a
vacuum cleaner.
START OF WORK
- Inspect the machine and make sure it is complete and free from external damage;
- After transporting the grinder in winter conditions, keep it at room temperature until the water condensate is completely dry.
- Connect the dust bag (5) or the hose of the vacuum cleaner to the dust outlet of the machine to remove the processed products.
- Install (replace) the grinding disc on the sanding plate (3): place the disc with the abrasive side outward, aligning their edges around the circumferentially, and align the dust collection plate holes and sanding disc holes. Use only good quality sanding sheets as this improves the finish and reduces sanding time. To remove a thick layer of material, use sandpaper with a grit size of 40-60-80 units. For final sanding, use sandpaper with a grit size of 150-320 grit.
- Turn on the sander with the switch trigger (1). Wait for the full acceleration of the grinding wheel, then place the sander with a plate on the surface to be treated. Holding the tool firmly by the handle, gently press the sander against the surface to be treated so that the sanding sheet touches it evenly over its entire area. When grinding, do not apply excessive pressure to the tool, as this may overload the motor, shorten the life of the sanding sheet, and reduce the efficiency of sanding or polishing. Do not block the vents of the grinder (2) during operation, as this may cause the motor to overheat and fail.
- During operation, periodically raise the tool above the treated surface to remove dust and sludge from the surface of the workpiece and the abrasive sheet.
- The speed of rotation and oscillatory movements of the sander is set by the speed controller (4)
- At the end of the work, remove the sander from the workpiece, turn the switch trigger (1) to the “OFF” position, wait until the tool stops completely.
TOOL RECOMMENDATIONS
- Place the sanding sheet on the base of the tool so that the sandpaper covers the entire plate.
- Never use your tool without sandpaper.
- Do not turn on the sander if it is in touch with the workpiece, otherwise the workpiece can be damaged.
- Pay attention to the position of the power cord during operation.
- At the end of work: thoroughly clean the machine from dust and processed products from the outside and inside (blow with a vacuum cleaner)
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
- The fixed shelf life of the machine is 5 years.
- During the specified period please store the tool: at an ambient temperature from minus 50°С to plus 40°С and relative air humidity of no more than 80%.
