INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

PanelMate Pro in Concrete and Masonry

Step 1
Using the proper drill bit size, drill a hole into the base material to the required depth, which is a 1/4-inch deeper than the minimum embedment depth.

Step 2
Remove dust and debris from the hole during drilling (e.g. dust extractor) or following drilling (e.g. suction, forced air) to extract loose particles created by drilling.

Step 3
Place the ENY156 PanelMate drive socket onto the external hex of the PanelMate Pro.

Step 4
Drive the PanelMate fastener in until the washer face is seated snug tight against the base material.

PanelMate Pro in Wood

Step 1
Place the ENY156 PanelMate drive socket onto the external hex of the PanelMate Pro.

Step 2
Drive the PanelMate fastener in until the washer face is seated against the base material. Pre-drilling is not necessary in wood, however, drilling a pilot hole using a 3/16″ wood/steel drill bit will minimize the possibility of splitting the wood.

PanelMate Female ID in Concrete and Masonry

Step 1
Using the proper drill bit size, drill a hole into the base material to the required depth, which is a 1/4-inch deeper than the minimum embedment depth.
Using a 1/2″ ANSI masonry bit, drill a 7/8″ deep counter-sinking hole.

Step 2
Remove dust and debris from the hole during drilling (e.g. dust extractor) or following drilling (e.g. suction, forced air) to extract loose particles created by drilling.

Step 3
Place the ENY192 PanelMate drive socket into the hex opening of the PanelMate Female ID.

Step 4
Drive the PanelMate fastener in until the head of the fastener is flush with the base material.

PanelMate Female ID in Wood

Step 1
With 1/2″ spade/paddle bit, drill a 7/8″ deep counter-sinking hole in the wood base material.

Step 2
Place the ENY192 PanelMate drive socket into the hex opening of the PanelMate Female ID.

Step 3
Drive the PanelMate fastener in until the washer face is seated against the base material. Pre-drilling is not necessary in wood, however, drilling a pilot hole using a 3/16″ wood/steel drill bit will minimize the possibility of splitting the wood.

PanelMate TVAS

Step 1
Using a 1/4″ ANSI masonry bit, drill a hole through the brick veneer.

Then continue with the Following Steps (depending on TVAS selected):

  • TVAS Pro: Continue with steps from PanelMate Pro anchors on previous page.
  • TVAS Female ID: Using a 1/2″ ANSI masonry bit, drill a 7/8″ deep counter-sinking hole in the brick. Continue with steps from PanelMate Female ID anchors on previous page, except that no additional counter-sinking hole is required to be drilled in the base material.
  • TVAS Hex: Continue with steps from PanelMate Pro anchors on previous page, except for using standard 5/16″ nutsetter to drive the anchor instead of the ENY156 PanelMate drive socket.

PanelMate Inserts in Concrete and Masonry

Step 3
Place the ENY192 PanelMate drive socket into the hex opening of the PanelMate Insert.

Step 4
Drive the PanelMate fastener in until the head of the fastener is flush against the base material.
Note: L inserts are typically used in applications with a stucco exterior while S inserts are typically installed flush in concrete and masonry base materials.

PanelMate Inserts in Wood

Step 1
With 7/16″ wood/steel bit, drill a hole in the wood base material.

Step 2
Place the ENY192 PanelMate drive socket into the hex opening of the PanelMate Insert.

Step 3
Drive the PanelMate fastener in until the head of the fastener is flush against the base material.
Note: L inserts are typically used in applications with a stucco exterior while S inserts are typically installed flush in the wood base material.
