SmartDHOME Multisensor 6 In 1 Automation System
Thank you for choosing the 6 in 1 MultiSensor, the ideal sensor for automation, safety and plant control. Z-Wave certified, the MultiSensor is compatible with the gateways of the MyVirtuoso Home home automation system.
Product Information
The Multisensor 6 in 1 is a ZWave-certified sensor designed for automation, safety, and plant control. It is compatible with the gateways of the MyVirtuoso Home home automation system. The device is equipped with six sensors, including motion, temperature, humidity, brightness, vibration, and UV light sensors.
General Safety Rules
Before using this device, certain precautions must be taken to reduce any risk of fire and / or personal injury:
- Read all instructions carefully and follow all precautions contained in this manual. All direct connections to the mains conductors must be made by trained and authorized technical personnel.

Description
The 6 in 1 MultiSensor allows you to manage 6 different functions: movement,
brightness, vibration, temperature, UV and humidity. If included in the
MyVirtuoso Home home automation system, the sensor can communicate directly
with the dedicated application, sending alarm notifications or real-time
reports of some of the monitored functions. Thanks to MyVirtuoso Home it will
be possible to create automatisms that will be implemented when the sensor
detects any anomaly in the environment in which it is positioned.

Installation

Remove the battery cover by pressing on the appropriate tab, and insert the CR123A batteries making sure that the polarity is correct. Then close the lid. If you want to power the device via the supplied Micro USB cable, you will need to insert it into the appropriate slot.
Annotation: The MultiSensor can also be powered by a single CR123A battery. In this case it will have to be changed more frequently than inserting two batteries (average life of 1 year). If you intend to proceed, insert a CR123A into the slot marked with the number 1.
WARNING! he device is not compatible with rechargeable CR123A batteries. -
Make sure you have positioned the battery cover correctly and locked it.
Inclusion
Before starting the procedure for including the device in a Z-Wave network,
check that it is turned on, then make sure that the MyVirtuoso Home gateway is
in inclusion mode (refer to the relevant manual available on the website
www.myvirtuosohome.com/downloads).
- Press the button located on the back of the device once.
- The inclusion was successful if the LED of the MultiSensor remains lit for 8 seconds after pressing the rear button. If, on the other hand, the LED continues to flash slowly you will need to repeat the process from step 1.
Exclusion
Before starting the procedure for excluding the device in a Z-Wave network,
check that it is switched on, then make sure that the MyVirtuoso Home gateway
is in exclusion mode (refer to the relative manual available on the website
www.myvirtuosohome.com/downloads).
- Press the button located on the back of the device once.
- The exclusion was successful if the MultiSensor LED starts to flash slowly after pressing the rear button. If, on the other hand, the LED remains lit you will need to repeat the process from step 1.
Assembly
For optimal measurement it is necessary to choose carefully where you want to place the sensor. It has three possible types of mounting: wall, ceiling or on shelves and mobile. Before making a decision, check that:
- It is not placed in front of windows/fan coils/air conditioners or direct sun exposure.
- It is not positioned near heat sources (eg radiators, boilers, fire,…).
- It is installed in a place where the detected brightness is consistent with the ambient one. Do not place in shady areas.
- It is positioned in such a way that a potential intruder crosses the entire detection range.
- It is preferably positioned in front of an entrance.
- Whichever room the device is designated, make sure it fits within the range of the motion sensor (see diagram below). If installing on the ceiling it is always good to take measurements within a radius of 3 x 3 x 6 meters.
- If installing in a corner where the wall meets the ceiling it is always good to take measurements within a radius of 2.5 x 3.5 x 3 meters.
- The device is not mounted on or near metal structures or metal objects. These could weaken the Z-Wave signal.
Disposal
Do not dispose of electrical appliances in mixed urban waste, use separate
collection services. Contact the local council for information about available
collection systems. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or
in inappropriate places, hazardous substances can escape into groundwater and
enter the food chain, damaging health and well-being. When replacing old
appliances with new ones, the retailer is legally obliged to accept the old
appliance for free disposal.
