USER’S MANUAL
Document Scanner
Safety precautions:
After reading this manual, make sure to keep it in place where you can easily
access while using the product.
– The following safety precautions are intended to guide you to the safe and
correct use of the product and prevent unwanted accident or damage.
Warning:
1). Do not use or store the product in direct sunlight or near a hot
object. Otherwise, this may result in fire due to excessive heat.
2). Do not place a container filled with liquid such as vase, flowerpot, cup,
cosmetics and chemicals near to product. Otherwise, this may result in
personal injury or death due to fire to electric shock.
3). Do not use the product if liquid such as water, chemicals or oil is
spilled on product. Otherwise, this may cause fire or electric shock.
4). Do not use product in the place where near the alcohol and banana oil or
other inflammability liquid and avoid to use inflammability sprayer near the
product. Otherwise, this may result in fire or serious injury due to explode
or outbreak of fire.
5). Wet hand is not allowed to use the product or insert the USB. Otherwise
may cause fire and electric shock.
6). Do not disassemble, modify or repair the product. Otherwise, this may
cause malfunction them cause the electric shock.
7). Do not direct the LED light toward to your eyes. Otherwise, this may cause
damage to your eyesight or loss of vision.
Caution:
1). Do not install the device in an area prone to static electricity or
excessive hear.
2). Do not install the product in a humid or dusty area.
3). Be careful not to spill liquid such as water, chemicals or oil on the
product.
4). Do not apply excessive shock to product.
5). Do not apply excessive beading or shock to the cable.
6). Always read and follow the user’s manual when using or removing the
product.

included in the package, If any item is missing or damaged, contact the retail

Document scanner is widely using in education, banking, hospital, office, counter and the average home user, because of it has able to replace the traditional flatbed scanner, document scanner has faster scanning speed improve efficiency, paperless and save trees.

1.Installation
1.1 Insert CD to PC, click the install button to operate installation
program.

Install Camimpression:
Install the document scanner software.
Install Camshow:
Install the education software.
SDK:
Software Development Kit/API.
TWAIN:
Twain interface.
USER’S MANUAL:
PDF version of user’s manual.
Note:
Windows 7 or below OS version will be installed .NET automatically at first time installation (If already installed .NET, will be passed this step)
1.2 Display the installation progress.
Notes:
-May appear need install other plug-in during the software installing, but
this is necessary, click next until finish.
1.3 Click “Finish” button to finish the installation program, and once
finished installation, remove the CD from PC.
2. Software Introduction
Tips:
-If the software capture camera via your webcam instead of document
scanner, please find the device setting at lower left corner and then select
correct device.
-Image automatic processing included image optimization and image cropping.
-Should check the resolution is highest before scanning pictures.
-Move cursor to left of scanning window the image setting will be appeared.
-Move cursor to scanning window the image control will be appeared.
-If the language is not correct, please find “L” at top right corner.
-If would like to save the image by PDF or TIF quickly, right clicking the captured image shown on right side and select which one you need.

2.1 Functions details
Note:
-The sequence of functions may different, subject to the actual.
-If would like to capture the image by count down instead of automatic detect for “Contract and Continue” model, please select “Parameter, Capture, Auto page to time”.
Functional zone:
Capture:
Capture an original image without automatic image processing, this function
can save the color of picture.
Copy:
For replace the printer, capture an image of document with automatic image
processing and then will open copy setting from your PC automatically, the
document will be printed out.
E-mail:
For replace the Fax machine, capture an image of document without image
processing and then will open your Outlook send it as attachment.
Document:
Capture an image of document with automatic image processing, main function
for using.
Contract:
Usually contract have many pages need to documentation, this function can save
your time, you don’t need take the paper to scanning one by one, will
automatic capture the image when you take out the paper to next one with image
processing, you can select saving images by PDF or TIF after finished
scanning.
Duplex:
Double-face scanning, put one side and scanning, turn to another side and
click icon again will be merged and cropped them automatically.
Barcode:
Barcode recognition, scan a paper which with barcode, such as way bill,
recognize the barcode number and will be saved by Excel.
Continue:
Capture an image after taking the document to next automatically without image
processing.
2.2 Image setting
Note:
-The function which mentioned included image automatic processing will not
work in below image setting unless multi-cut.
Default:
Capture the full page of scanning window also included black mat.
Single cut:
Recognize only one document on mat and capture it without background.
Multi-cut:
Recognize all of documents on mat and capture each one of them without
background.
Full face:
Capture the image from full of scanning window.
Custom:
Use your cursor to select an area where is you want to capture.
Picture:
Capture the picture with color.
Paper/Document:
Capture an image of document with automatic image processing.
Sub Camera:
Start the device additional camera, if the device only has one camera, Webcam
will be started.
2.3 Parameter
Device:
Pull the triangle to different parameter can change the image
quality.
Image:
-Type: Save the image by color, black and white or gray.
-Formal: Save the image by JPG, TIF, PNG and BMP.
-Select the image storage size of JPG or PDF, high quality image with high resolution.
-Denoising: Make the white paper clearer.
-File correct direction: Automatic correct the text direction to right way.
Recognition:
Whether auto open the OCR result after recognizing.
Capture:
-Double page: Duplex capture merging by up-down or left-right.
-Auto page: Sensitivity during capturing of contract model or continue model. Time model is capture the image by count down for contract model or continue model.
Save:
-Naming rule: Default prefix is IMG, named by SN code or named by date.
-Select the storage path as you want, also can save the image according the capture solution.
Sub camera:
Merge the device additional camera and select the merging place.
System set:
-Animation effect setting: Performance mode or saving mode.
-Capture tip setting: open or close capture sound.
-Exit way: Minimize to tray or exit directly.
Image control:
-Device: Should use “Document Scanner”, if not, please select it.
-Format: YUY2 is high image quality but slower capturing speed, MJGP is lower image quality but fast capturing speed.
-Scale: According to your computer display, may different.
-Right top corner in red square: 1. Zoom in 2. Zoom on 3. 1:1 ratio 4. The most suitable size to your computer 5. Turn left 6. Turn right
3. Function Introduction
3.3 Capture
Capture an original image without automatic image processing, this function
can save the color of picture, but also with background. Captured image will
be in the left window.
Tip:
-if want to capture image without background by “Capture”, please select “Single cut” in image setting.
-More quickly operation setting, click right key at image.
Open:
Open the Image.
Copy:
Copy this image, can paste to other place.
Rename:
Give a new image name.
Delete:
Delete this image.
Contrast:
Select more image to contrast them.
PDF:
Convert to PDF file, also can select more images convert to PDF.
TIF:
Convert to TIF file, also can select more images convert to TIE.
Print:
Print it out from your printer.
Property:
Get more information of image.
3.4 Copy
Capture an image with automatic image processing, open the printer setting for print it out.
Tip:
-Not suitable for color image.
3.5 Email
Capture an original image of full scanning window send it by email
attachment.
3.6 Document
Capture an image of document with automatic image processing, main function for using.
Note:
-Not suitable for color picture.
3.7 Contract
Will automatic capture the image when you take out the paper to next one with automatic image processing, you can select saving images by PDF or TIF after finished scanning.
Note:
-Not suitable for color picture.
Tips:
If select count down model for contract or continue model, the window in
below.
3.8 Duplex
Capture the image which with double face, turn to another side and click the
duplex again to get complete image.
3.9 Barcode
Barcode recognition, scan a paper which with barcode, such as way bill, recognize the barcode number and will be saved by Excel, the image name also is named by barcode.
3.9.1 Continue
Will automatic capture the image when you take out the paper to next one
without image processing, you can select saving images by PDF or TIF after
finished scanning.
Q&A
01: Connect device to PC and start software, why device cannot be detected?
A1: Please check the USB port is correct and change to other USB port, or try another PC.
Q2: Connect device to PC and start software, why scanning window sometimes can display capturing image sometimes cannot?
A2: Please open LED light of device, if device totally cannot display capturing image, that is USB port has not enough power to support device, suggestion use USB-HUB with power supply.
Q3: Connect device to PC and start software, why the capturing image is via my webcam?
A3: Please find the “Device” in left-down corner and select “Document Scanner”.
Q4: Contract model or continue model is with too high sensitivity would like make it lower?
A4: Please find software setting in right-down corner, “Capture” can select the sensitivity higher or lower, also can setting capturing image by count down.
Q5: Why I capture the image by “Capture” button but still with image processing or cropping?
A5: Please find image setting in left side of software, and select to “default” and “picture”.
Q6: Where can i find the storage path?
A6: Please find image setting in left side of software, and select the “Save”.
