INSTALLATION
TIPS!Please check the accessories before installation.
Installation method:
- Check the Accessories Box, inside of which there are 2 PVC hoses, 1 water pump, 1 hose clamp, and 1 suction cup. See the Fig.1. Take out the 2 hoses firstly.
- Go on Check the Accessories Bag. See the Fig.2. Assemble the water inlet and outlet. See the Fig.3. Fig. 2 Fig. 3
- Fix water inlet and outlet on the chiller. See the Fig.4 and connect to the PVC flexible hoses. See the Fig.5.Fig. 3 Fig. 4 Fig. 5
- Pick the hose 1 ( the hose with one end connected to the chiller inlet), see the Fig. 5, then connect the other end to the water pump outlet, fasten the hose clamp tight (see the Fig. 6) Pick the hose 2 (the hose with one end connected to the chiller outlet), then insert the other end through the elastic ring of the suction cup, and fix it at proper position inside the aquarium wall (see the Fig.6.)
Pick the hose 2 (the hose with one end connected to the chiller outlet), then insert the other end through the elastic ring of the suction cup, and fix it at proper position inside the aquarium wall (see the Fig.6.)
Note: for the water pump installation, please refer to the Water Pump Instruction Manual.
Attention: Check the chiller inlet and outlet carefully, DO NOT MISCONNECT.

HOW TO USE
Before using the machine, please check:
- Power cord is securely plugged into a grounded, correctly rated outlet. Make sure the power voltage and frequency are in accordance with the data specified on the nameplate or in the instruction manual.
- The water inlet, outlet and hose are connected correctly and firmly, make sure there are no leaks or clogs.
- Keep sufficient clearance between the chiller and its surrounding objects for heat dissipation and convenient maintenance, with at least 30cm clearance around front (air inlet) and sides and 60cm in back (air outlet). If the chiller is to be put in an aquarium cabinet, the cabinet should have enough grilles for air circulation, or to be equipped with an extra small exhaust fan.
If the 3 items above are OK, you may begin using your water chiller:
- Turn on water pump, making sure the Circulating Cooling Water System can run normally without any blockage or leak.
- Turn on the chiller and use the Control Panel to set desired water temperature.
Adjust temperature
- Plug the chiller into a socket of rated voltage and frequency, turn it on. The power indicator light is on and the LCD shows the current water temperature. Fig.1.
- Press “SET” to enter the setting. Press ▲ to turn up pre-set temperature, and press ▼ to turn down pre-set temperature. The starting temperature difference is 2℉,for example, the chiller needs to be set at least 2℉ lower than the actual water temperature to get it started.

---|---
than the actual water temperature to cool.|
Fig.2.| Fig.3. - After setting the temperature, the LCD shows the current water temperature, and the chiller will select cool or heat mode automatically after comparing the set temperature and actual water temperature. If in cool mode, the green indicator blinks in “delayed start” state, after a 3 minutes’ delay, the chiller starts chilling, and the green indicator becomes solid. If in heat mode, the heater works without delay and the red indicator turns on (Note: heater not included, it requires the user to insert a heater with a two-pin flat plug). Fig.4.
- When the chiller works in cool mode, the green indicator turns on. When the water temperature drops to the pre-set temperature, the chiller stops working. If the water temperature rises to meet the starting condition (temperature difference is 2℉), the chiller enters a 3-minute delay and then starts working automatically. By repeating in this way, the chiller keeps the water temperature stay between pre-set temperature and the temperature+ 2℉. See the Fig. 5.
- When the chiller works in heat mode, the red indicator turns on. When the water temperature rises to the pre-set temperature, the heater stops working. If the water temperature drops to meet the starting condition (temperature difference is 2℉), the heater works again. By repeating in this way, the chiller keeps the water temperature stay between pre-set temperature and the temperature – 2℉. See the Fig. 6. Fig.5. Fig.6.
MAINTENANCE
- Regular maintenance is needed each year. Please power off and unplug before maintaining.
- Please DO NOT use chemicals such as gasoline, benzene and diluent to wipe the chiller.
- Control panel and motor must be kept dry. If water or any liquid is found on the chiller, please turn off the power immediately and wipe it off with cloth before restarting.
- DO NOT operate the chiller if it has a damaged cord or plug, or it is malfunctioning or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
- DO NOT attempt to service this unit yourself as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangers or other hazards. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel for service or replacing all electrical parts.
- If the chiller is not in use for a long time, please unplug the power cord, fully discharge the residual water in the tubes, clean the inlet/outlet and hoses and dry them thoroughly. Put the chiller away at a safe dry place.
CLEANING
Step1: Please unplug (important!). See the Fig. 1.
Fig.1
Step2: Please gently “PULL” on the left and right sides of the air inlet window and open it (see the Fig. 2), and then take the air filter out. See the Fig. 3.
Step3: To prevent dust accumulation, please clean the air filter in water or with a vacuum cleaner regularly. See the Fig. 4.
Note: For optimal refrigerating performance, circulating and filter system, and the air filter should be cleaned at least once every month including hoses, fittings, filter media, titanium tube inside the machine and others, as the dirt accumulation and or clogs would weaken the refrigerating capacity.
