Fatboy® product information Pret a Racket

Pret a Racket is a decorative solar lamp with a built-in rechargeable battery. Suitable for outdoor use. Pret a Racket switches on automatically when night falls. The lamps remain lit for six hours before an integrated timer switches them off. The lamp can still be switched on manually by briefly pulling the red cord twice to ex-tend the illumination time. Each light source contains a single 0.5W LED module (2700K). The lamp housing is splash water resistant and the lamp is charged by means of a solar panel concealed inside the housing.

WARNING: READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USE!

• Ensure the lamp is positioned in an area of direct sunlight during the day so that it can charge properly during daylight hours.
• Ensure the lamp is anchored firmly in the ground so it cannot fall over.
• Do not expose the lamp unit to direct heat from heating sources.
• This is not a toy. Please keep it out of reach of children.

Instruction for use and maintenance:

Before first use:

• Please assemble the lamps as instructed in the illustrated manual.
• Ensure the lamps are positioned in an area of sufficient direct sunlight so they can charge sufficiently during daylight hours.
• When night falls, the lamps will switch on automatically. To enable the lamp’s automatic on/off setting, you must briefly pull the cord.
• You can test whether the setting has been enabled by covering the lamp housing with your hands.

General use:

• The lamp will charge during the day if positioned in an area of direct sunlight.
• When night falls, the lamps will switch on automatically and will remain lit for six hours. The integrated timer will then switch them off
• To switch on again (for example to extend the lighting period on winter evenings) pull the red cord twice and the light will switch on again for an additional six hours.
• The lamps can be switched off at any time by pulling the red cord. Please note that this switches the device off completely. You will need to pull the cord again to reactivate the automatic functionality.

Maintenance:

• If you will not be using the lamps for an extended period of time, be sure to recharge it at least once every three months to keep the battery in good working order. It will charge automatically when left in direct sunlight.

Cleaning:

• Use a dry microfiber cloth to clean off dust or patches of dirt.
• If required, use a damp, lukewarm cloth for additional cleaning (with a mild detergent if necessary).
• Patches of dirt should be cleaned with care to avoid scratching the housing.
• Do not use cleaning agents that contain alcohol, benzene, abrasive substances, or chemicals.
• Never open the lamp unit while cleaning it.

Trouble shooting:

The lamp fell and the shade has come loose:

• Make sure the top (green part) and bottom (white part) are connected together properly. These parts are connected by a snap connection. They can easy be ‘clicked’ together.
• The luminaire doesn’t turn on at night, it might be off. Please pull the cord one more time to turn it back in automatic on/off mode.
• When the luminaire doesn’t charge anymore, try to locate it in an open area to let the sun enter the solar panel. Please make sure the battery is able to charge for a few day to make it work properly again.
• Never try to replace the battery yourself.

This luminaire contains a LED light source, which cannot be replaced by the end user and shall only be replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent. When the light source reaches its end of life, the whole luminaire needs to be replaced.
