General Information

Batteries

  • Use 2x AA batteries.
  • Do not mix types or new & old batteries.
  • Do not use rechargeable batteries
  • Remove batteries if you’re not expecting to use remote for several weeks.
  • Immediately remove any leaking batteries. Leaking batteries can cause burns to skin or eyes. Handle with care.
  • Dispose of batteries responsibly.

Connecting Your Remote to Other Devices Setup: Brand Search

  • Identify the brand of the device you are trying to connect, then visit (www.amino.tv/resources) and note the 5-digit brand code that matches the brand of your device.
  • With your device turned on, press the “Device control” button for the device you want to control, for example if you want to control a DVD player, press “DVD”.
  • Press and hold the “Setup” button until the “Device control” button flashes twice.
  • Enter the 5-digit code for your device. On each digit entry the “Device control” button will flash. If you make an error, the LED will give a single long flash.
  • Press the “Power on” button. If your device turns off then setup is complete.
  • If your device does not turn off, repeat the setup procedure using another code (if listed) for the device. You may need to try several codes.

If you change your device to a different brand and the remote control requires re-programming, repeat this brand search procedure with your new device If your device is not listed, or you have tried all the codes listed for it and it still does not respond to the remote control, your device may still be supported and you should try the Auto Search method. Setup: Auto Search

  • With your device turned on, press the “Device control” button on your remote for your device.
  • Press and hold the “Setup” button until the “Device control” button flashes twice.
  • Press the number buttons “9, 9,1” then press the “Power” button.
  • Press the “Channel +” button repeatedly until your device turns off.
  • Press and hold the “Setup” button until the “Device control” button flashes twice. The brand code is now saved.

Setup: Punch Through
When configured to control a selected device, the remote buttons will operate that device. However, specific buttons can be sent to another device by using the ‘punch through’ feature. For example, you may want to send the volume up and down button to an AUX device rather than to your TV set.

  • Press and hold the “Setup” button until the “Device control” button flashes twice.
  • Press the number buttons “9, 7, 8”.
  • Press the “Device control button for the device you want to control (ex. if you want to control a DVD player, press “DVD”.
  • Press the keys you want to punch through (ex. Volume up and down, Mute, etc…).
  • Press the “Device control button for the device you want to target (ex. “SB”, “DVD”).
  • Press and hold the “Setup” button until the “Device control” button flashes twice. Punch through setup is now complete. If you make an error, the LED will give a single long flash.

  • Press and hold the “Setup” button until the “Device control”
