Thank you for choosing a digital piano from GEWA music!
You have chosen a high-quality digital piano that will give you an impressive
sound experience and lots of fun. Additional functions extend the capabilities
of your digital piano far beyond piano playing.Your safety is very important
to us! Please read the safety information carefully and pay close attention to
it. Retain this manual and hand it over to the respective user.

NOTE
The manufacturer is not liable for personal injury or property damage
resulting from improper use of the device! Only use your digital piano as
directed!

The following symbols are used in this operating manual to identify hazards
and notes
INTENDED USE
The digital piano is intended for use in dry rooms.
- Devices for audio playback (as input or output) or for data communication can be connected. However, the respective technical specifications must be complied with (see the section „Technical data“).
- The electrical connection may only be made to correctly installed power supplies, fulfilling the respective regulations. The mains voltage on the identification plate must correspond to the mains voltage of the country of use.
- The digital piano is only to be used in the original delivery condition described below. Conversions of any kind are not permitted and cause the immediate loss of the warranty claim.
- The digital piano must be placed on securely fastened and weight-suitable, stable and level floors or platforms.
IMPROPER USE – EXAMPLES:
- Use outdoors or in rain
- Use in damp rooms
- Connection to incorrect supply voltage or improperly installed electrical power supplies.
- Use in close proximity to electrical or electronic equipment such as stereos, televisions, radios or mobile phones.
- These devices may cause interference and affect the sound quality
- Electrical leads that are too long can also affect sound quality.
- Transport and installation in places or vehicles with strong vibration, dust and strong heat e.g. direct sunlight
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage for the following reasons:

PREAUCTIONS
Please follow the the precautions listed here. Disregard of precautionary
measures can have serious consequences:
- Severe injury or even fatal accidents Electric shock

- Other threats are conceivable; this is not an exhaustive list
WARNING
Fatal electric shocks
- Even low electrical currents can lead to serious injuries and death
- Never open the digital piano’s casing
- Never use damaged power cables
- Lay the power cable in such a way that it can not be damaged
- Never place containers (vases, glasses etc) filled with water or fluids on the piano
- Never pour water or liquids on to the digital piano or keyboard
- Never clean the digital piano with a wet cloth
- Never plug in or pull out the mains plug with wet hands. Never pull on the cable; it can cause damage.
- If liquid accidentally gets into the digital piano, immediately unplug the power.
- Then have your digital piano checked by your GEWA service representative.
WARNING
Unusual circumstances
- Turn off the digital piano or unplug the power cable if:
- There is a sudden loss of sound while using the digital piano
- The digital piano generates an unusual smell or smoke
- Be sure to have the digital piano checked by your GEWA service representative
WARNING
Protection against fire
- Open flames such as candles or tealights can tip over and cause a fire
- Never place objects with open flames on the digital piano!
CAUTION
Damage to the digital piano
- Inappropriate electrical voltages can damage the digital piano
- Only operate the digital piano in the permissable voltage range (as indicated on the respective identification plate).
- Only use the supplied power cable.
- Never place the power cable near to sources of heat, such as radiators or freestanding heaters.
- Do not bend or kink the power cable, or damage it in any other way.
- Lay the power cable so that nobody can step on it, trip on it or roll over it.
- Do not place objects on the power cable.
- Regularly check the power cable and remove any dust or dirt that may be present.
CAUTION
Damage to the digital piano through thunderstorms
- Thunderstorms can generate electrical surges that can damage electrical equipment.
- In the event of a thunderstorm or long periods of non-use (such as travel), unplug the appliance from the mains.

DISPOSAL
- To dispose of the old device, please take it to your local waste management authority (e.g. disposal company or recycling centre).
- The adjacent symbol indicates that the device must be disposed of separately from household waste. In accordance with the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act, owners of old appliances are legally required to dispose of old electrical and electronic appliances at a separate and designated waste disposal point.
- Please help in contributing to protect the environment by not disposing of the old device in household waste.

CONTROLS AND CONNECTORS

Power Button On/Off
Switch the piano On/Off. -
Bluetooth Button On/Off/Pairing
Switches the Bluetooth module On/Off.
Press and Hold the Bluetooth button to activate audio pairing and make the device visible. -
Shift Button
Alternative allocation of function keys F1-F4. -
Volume Control
To adjust the master volume of the instrument. -
Function Buttons F1-F4
To select piano sounds or favorite presets. -
USB to Host
To connect the piano to smartphone, PC or tablet. -
AUX Input 3,5mm Jack (TRS)
To connect an external sound source to the instrument, e.g. smartphone. -
Sustain/Sostenuto Pedal 6,3mm Jack
Connect your sutain pedal to the piano. -
Soft-/Expression Pedal 6,3mm Jack

INITIAL OPERATION
In this section you will learn how to set up your digital piano correctly.
POWER CONNECTION
First connect the power adapter in the following order:
CAUTION
Please use only the power adapter included in the delivery. The use of an
incorrect adapter may result in damage to the instrument!
HINT
To disconnect the power adapter, proceed in exactly the reverse order. Please
make sure that the instrument is switched off before disconnecting the power
cord.
POWER ADAPTER WITH INTERCHANGEABLE PLUG
The power adapter included in the scope of delivery has different plug types.
These can be exchanged depending on the country of use and the sockets used
there. Proceed as follows to do this:
- Press the locking button (1) and keep it pressed. Meanwhile, turn the adapter plate (2) counterclockwise to remove it from the power supply.
- To use another adapter plate, plug it onto the connector and turn it clockwise until the locking knob (1) clicks into place.
CONNECTING THE PEDAL
You can connect the included pedal as follows:
SWITCH ON AND OFF
- Set the volume control to low (counterclockwise, to the left).
- Press the power button to switch the piano on.
- Press and hold the power button for three seconds to switch the piano off.
The Power LED should now light up permanently. You can now use the volume control to set the desired volume.
USING HEADPHONES
If you want to use headphones, connect them as follows:
HINT
Please note the following: As soon as the headphones are plugged in, there
will be no sound from the instrument’s loudspeakers. You can use the volume
control knob to adjust the headphone volume.
SETTING THE VOLUME
You can adjust the volume using the Volume control. Turn the knob clockwise to
increase the volume. Turn the knob counterclockwise to clockwise to decrease
the volume.
SOUND SELECTION
Your digital piano has 20 different sounds. These sounds are assigned to different sound categories. In this chapter, you will learn how to access individual sounds.
SOUND CATEGORIES AND SOUND
Your digital piano has four different sound categories. These categories can
be selected directly using the function keys F1 – F4.
- F1 – Piano
- F2 – E-Piano
- F3 – Strings and Choir
- F4 – Organ and Others

SELECTING SOUNDS
To select individual sounds of a category proceed as follows:
- Select the desired sound category via the function keys F1-F4.
- Press and hold down the shift key until it’s constantly illuminated.
- Now you are in shift mode an the assignment of the function keys F1-F4 has changed as follows:
HINT
When the end of a sound category is reached via the F1 + F2 keys, the piano
automatically jumps to the previous or next category.
METRONOME
Your digital piano has an internal metronome. You can start and stop this in the alternative key assignment (hold down the shift key). Proceed as follows:
- Press and hold the Shift key to activate the alternate key assignment.
- Press the F4 key to start and stop the metronome.
While the metronome is running, the key assignment changes. You can now make
further settings on your metronome:
BLUETOOTH
Your digital piano has Bluetooth audio and MIDI functionalities. Via the audio
interface, you can play music from your mobile device.
Use Bluetooth MIDI functionality, for example, to use learning apps or to
record MIDI data in your favorite DAW software.
To establish a Bluetooth MIDI connection, proceed as follows:
- Press the Bluetooth button briefly until it lights up continuously.
- Now go to your favorite Bluetooth MIDI application and search for Bluetooth MIDI devices. You should now be able to connect to the instrument.
To establish a Bluetooth Audio connection, proceed as follows:
- Press the Bluetooth button briefly until it lights up continuously.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button again to put the piano into pairing mode (audible signal sounds).
- The Bluetooth LED will now flash slowly.
- Now go to the Bluetooth device search of your mobile device. The following appears a device named “PP-3 Audio”. The pairing code is: 4392
PIANO REMOTE APP
Your GEWA digital piano can be connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth.With the GEWA Piano Remote App, you get access to additional settings of your digital piano. This app is available for most Android and iOS devices.To download, simply search for “GEWA Piano Remote” in the app store or visit our website: www.gewakeys.com for more information.
CONNECTING THE APP
Many additional setting options are available via the GEWA Piano Remote App. For example, the creation of favorite sounds, effects, sound combinations, lesson player, demo songs, recording functions, or access to the virtual piano technician. A complete description of the functions can be found at www.gewakeys.com To establish a connection with your GEWA piano, please proceed as follows:
- Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on on your piano (LED is lit).
- Start the GEWA Piano Remote App and search for devices.
- Click on the GEWA device to establish a connection.
HINT
The Android OS needs access to your location to search for Bluetooth MIDI
devices nearby. Please enable location access during the search process. The
GEWA Piano Remote App does not store any user data and does NOT user data and
does NOT share it with third parties.
FAVORITE SOUNDS
Your GEWA digital piano has 4 favorite sounds. You can freely define these in the GEWA Piano Remote App and call them up at any time via the instrument.
- On the right side, you see the start screen of the GEWA Piano Remote App. This contains 4 tiles with a “+” symbol in the middle.
- Press the + symbol to create a new favorite sound.
- For each favorite sound the following setting options are available:
- – Name
- Sound (select your preferred sound)
- Effect (for example Chorus, Tremolo, etc.)
- Reverb (define the Reverb of your sound)
- Metronome
Selecting Favorite Sounds
The favorite sounds are automatically synchronized with your piano and stored
there. So you can recall these settings at any time, even without an existing
app connection. To do this, press the Shift key twice in quick succession
until the Shift key flashes. Now you can call up your favorite sounds via the
function keys F1-F4.
