Compact yet surprisingly powerful, the QTX Tri-PAR is perfect for many events and scenarios. Three super bright 4W LEDs provide colourful mixes and washes for walls and ceilings and the internal, rechargeable battery means the unit is totally portable and can be placed in any location without requiring a power source. Simple to operate using the onboard control panel, supplied RF remote control or DMX if preferred, the Tri-PAR is packed with features and integrated light shows that are sure to illuminate any occasion
In the box
Your Tri-PAR should arrive with you in a single carton in good condition. The carton should contain
- 1 x main unit
- 1 x remote control
- 1 x UK IEC mains lead
- 1 x user guide
Warning:
To prevent the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the unit to rain
or damp environments. In the event of a spillage,disconnect the mains and
allow the unit to dry out naturally.
Qualified personnel should then check the unit before continuing use.
Please do not open cover, contains high voltage. This product is not serviceable or repairable by the end user. Please refer to qualified personnel for service and repair.
Placement
- Ensure the unit is placed on a flat surface.
- Ensure there is at least 50cm clearance around the unit to allow for proper ventilation.
- Do not place the unit near heat sources such as radiators or heaters.
- Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near strong light sources.
- Keep away from damp or dusty environments.
- Ensure adequate airflow around the fixture housings.
- Ensure adequate access to controls and connections.
Cleaning
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the unit. Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents.
- Use a soft cloth with a neutral detergent to clean the casing as required.
- Use a vacuum cleaner to clear ventilation grilles of any dust or debris build-ups.
- Do not use strong solvents for cleaning the unit.

Charging the battery:
The Tri-PAR can be either mains or battery-powered as it contains an internal rechargeable lithium battery. To charge the unit, simply connect to mains power using the IEC lead supplied and keep the Power Switch (7) off. When charging, the battery status light will glow red and when completely charged, it will turn green. It’s recommended to fully charge the Tri-PAR before first use and let the power run down each time before recharging to achieve optimum battery life of the unit.
Manual control menu:
- Press the MENU button to enter the settings menu.
- Press UP and DOWN buttons to navigate through various setting functions.
- Press ENTER button to save the desired setting.

Advanced parameter settings:
In A001 mode press and hold the Enter button for 3 seconds to enable/disable.
Press Menu button at any time to return to normal mode.

Remote control
The Tri-PAR is supplied with an I.R. remote control for quick access to most of the basic functions of the unit. This has a maximum range of approximately 4-5m and must be aimed towards the front of the unit. Controls and functions are listed on the diagram below:

DMX mode:
The Tri-PAR can be controlled by DMX signal, simply connect the DMX signal source to the DMX input on the unit via a balanced XLR lead. Extra fixtures can be controlled by the same DMX signal by looping through the DMX out on the unit. To enter DMX mode, select A001 from the menu and confirm the correct settings.

Troubleshooting
No power (mains)| Check IEC lead and fuse (if fuse continually blows, refer to

Unresponsive to DMX

Overheating/cutting out| Ensure adequate ventilation and unit is not too close
